I see three stupid/arrogant pricks trying to bash my country because of YOUR beliefs and opinions....FUCK YOU GUYS! If you're not from America, then don't worry about it! But ya sure as fuck will not sit here and bash my country over the mistakes of this government and its people. That's a nice Canadian flag on the moon eh? We may not be perfect. We may not agree. But we will stick together. Bring your Canadian asses into US soil and let's talk about invasions! Oh yeah, there isn't a country on this planet that would invade the good ole US of A. Because the citizens are armed. And btw, ask the French, if it weren't for the US and our invasions, you motherfuckers would be speaking German right now!! So you guys bashing my country can eat a dick up until ya hiccup motherfucker! That entertainment enough for ya?

All I've gotten from this conversation is that Canada is the example for gun control and that the government invades our homes.

Didn't the US invade Canada and lose? Oh and LOL. "Bash the country because of the mistakes it's government and people made"? So what do we bash then? It's landscape? Oh and saying the US NEEDS stricter gun laws is bashing the US? Hmm tho I do LOVE the "if it weren't for us you'd be speaking German" line. Always pops up by a butt hurt American. The discussion was going fine until you came along.
Isn't the Taliban invading your country? No country invades the USA because your gov wouldn't think twice about nuking everything. -

Chill out a bit? That's a nice Canadian flag on the moon eh?

Woah woah put your guns away. Can't take a little criticism? Take your chant to a football game no one's bashing anything. I'm stating my perspective, with legitimate points at that. Either contribute with your perspective or don't. Thanks! -

Until you have lived here, been a citizen, voted, and actually contributed something worthwhile.....then save your "opinions" because we all know what their value is! There was a lot more anti American sentiment involved than just gun control. but since I didn't name names. Thanks for owning up to your own stench. Oh yeah, and, I've been involved on this thread since it started. But thanks for showing more of your stupidity.༺☣ℳཞ71ᏤཡℬüᎦ☣༻ wrote:

Hey Smokey we can own guns up here too! And it's even better because you know you're pretty much the only one with one because no one "needs" one! Crazy concept eh!

Hahaha, Mayhem, no guns are out and I've stated my perspective. I like shooting for sport. I like shooting for fun. I don't hunt. I'm not a member of the NRA and I believe as long as anyone else on the planet has one.....I should too. To me, guns are tools. just like a saw or a hatchet. Its not the tool that needs regulated. its the user. Ya don't bring a stick to a knife fight and if I could park a tank in my garage......goddamn straight I'd try! I don't NEED a gun, I've NEVER had to shoot someone to protect my family. But I like knowing I have the power to turn the tables in my favor if need be. It's a personal choice. That's all.@vwbus

Ok. So here is my perspective on gun control. First a little personal history. I'm 41. I was a soldier for 10 years and am a combat veteran. I've worked in law enforcement for the past 12 years. I grew up hunting. Especially upland bird, but also waterfowl, deer, turkey, and varmints. I own many guns. Several shotguns(some pump, some breech loading) several rifles (all bolt action) in various calibers, and two handguns, both semi-autos. For work I carry a semi-auto on my person daily. In my vehicle and readily available are a 12 guage shotgun and an M-4.
I carry almost everywhere I go even when off duty. About the only time I don't carry is when I know I'm going out for drinks. Guns and alcohol don't mix.
I am not a member of nor will I ever join the NRA.
-
The people who are so fast to condemn gun ownership focus on the wrong thing. It is overly simplistic to condemn the easy access to firearms while ignoring all other facets of the problem.
-
There will still be guns no matter what happens. Gun ban? Gun ban? Ha! Come on. Be realistic. There is no way the government can take away our guns. It's impossible. There's too many... The people wouldn't stand for it. There's not enough people employed by our government to do that. What are they gonna do? Send our own military around knocking on doors to take away our arms. Sounds like anarchy in the USA to me. Not everyone will give up their arms peacefully. It's America. We take pride in our second amendment. If the government wants to take our guns then they better be prepared to shoot their own citizens. All this other butt hurt crap needs to go on elsewhere. I mean seriously. You sound like a pissed off little kid. Look at the crap you're arguing about. Haha!

There are many contributing factors that lead to the US having among the highest homicide rates among developed nations. 1) Our culture. We are nation formed by firebrands. 2) We have a gang/drug problem. Most of the homicides that occur in the US where a non family member is the assailant are gang or drug related. 3) The US does a poor job of treating out mentally ill. This includes having laws that make it very difficult to commit individuals who make sucidal or homicidal statements. 4) A lot of you will condemn me for this, but this my perspective. The breakdown of the family is a strong contributing factor. There are too many young men who lack a stable adult male role model. Again, my opinion, this leads to impulsive and often irrational young men.

😜In reality guys......I'm just teasin ya....I don't really give two shits either way. I was just bored and seen the posts that were going on and thought I'd have a lil fun with it. 😜 Btw, seeker, it would have been way more entertaining had you gotten all "butt hurt" but that's okay....hehehe! I guess I'll have that "beer" you were referring to. Hopefully by "beer" you meant "shot" since I don't drink beer!

All that being said. Banning specific guns because they are "assualt weapons," will do little if anything to curb gun violence. The statistics before, during and after the last assualt weapon ban, bear this out. Violent crime rates continue to decline.

I am not against waitin periods for weapon purchases. I think they may prevent a few suicides and probably some homicides.
I am not against requiring some sort of gun safety course before a person can purchase a firearm. Most if not all states already required hunter safety courses before you can purchase a hunting license.
I support requiring firearms to be sold with a gun lock. I oppose the government requiring the individual gun owner use said lock.
If I wanted to buy an AR-15, I think I should be able too. I don't. I find my other rifles much more accurate and easier to clean.
I believe that the second amendment is just as important as the other amendments in the Bill of Rights.
