🎓 CCDB is now TWDB 🎓
Forums › General Discussion › 🎓 CCDB is now TWDB 🎓-
CCDB has officially been renamed to TWDB! Originally I thought to make a multi-game platform for code swapping but ya know what? I'll stick with Turf Wars, thanks. Making CCDB and now converting it to be TWDB has been a joy for me. Being approached my multiple players for a wide variety of reasons to help make it better is really what made me keep going. To date we have close to 10,000 validated codes and we are adding quite a few every day. The Moderators literally add and scrub every day; I will do my best to keep up with their suggestions.
Added features :
- Player Name Tracking
- Player Name Search
- Code Protection
- A new domain : http://TurfWarsDB.com
As usual, a huge thanks to the Moderators. And a special thanks to the new Moderators brought in by Night : Bella, Cupcake, Humboldtmoog, MangaNelli, Attrition and Mystery : their hard work is what made the near 9,000 player names to be tracked and absorbed into the database.

Thanks for the name change! Keep up the great work.

ty for the positive responses ☺

i was just about to suggest player tracking.
is it by alpha of player then code? that would be great for checking off whos in ur mob already, then only punching in the players codes you dont have.

in theory yeah but thats a looooot of manual work. we do offer the ability to massflag so you can import your punches from big lists you know youve punched.

This was actually the idea when we started name-tracking way back at the beginning. However, I don't think we ever had any idea we would have mob lists that were 10K long. As Omni said...it would be quite a task...but yes, this will be possible once you are able to sort the codes by name. Please also note that name-tracking is somewhat difficult as it is possible for someone to change their name without ever affecting their code...and we would never know. And people often seem to change their names at a whim. But the names are probably accurate for 80-90% of the codes.i was just about to suggest player tracking.

Love the new name. Hate the fact that you can no longer copy the codes to the clipboard. Makes the site unusable for me. Get rid of all the eye confusing little boxes and go back to the large text with blue numbers That was great.
-
Yeah i hate how i cant copy to microsoft anymore haha..i just printed it out and punched in my room..but still.. Gj on the site man.

Awesome, the different colors are back in for the numbers. Totally f-ing sweet.
Spent an hour or two putting in some names for new folks, it was a blast!

That's irrelevant. All the codes will get out anyway. All it takes is one human to copy it out then the other sites have it. Just like pirating movies. Without copy paste, the site is totally unusable. All users without access to a computer can't use it. I used to use it to punch codes while waiting on appointments by copy/paste between safari and tw. Can no longer use it like that now.
Bottom line: if you want your code to be picked by the widest audience be sure to put it on invitecodematrix.com and mobcode.org. CCDB is now second fiddle to those sites.

Ccdb or twdb gets my vote n the new mods did amazing job. Thanks all.

That's funny. Can you explain to me how about a week ago CCDB updated and had almost 1000 codes that have never been seen before (of course all the other sites immediately copied and pasted into their own database)? That was because most of the current mods on the sites had a database of codes that had never been seen before. Do you think the mods will all of sudden stop getting codes that aren't located anywhere else?...no. -
And as 0mni already stated...we realize that people will probably still manually try to steal the codes...but this definitely makes it a lot harder for them to do it. And I know there are enough hard-core code punchers out there...that they will still use CCDB, knowing that they will be able to find codes there that aren't on any of the other code sites. If you don't want to use the site, you're welcome to move elsewhere.

I'm not hating. I'm critiquing. I like the site overall. I used to use it all the time. Simple fact is the latest undated reduces your sites usability.
Yes I can remember a code long enough to punch it but copy/paste allows me to mindlessly punch codes while talking to clients on the phone or concentrating on other tasks. Yes, multitasking.
Don't put something out there asking what people think and then hate them when you get it. You'll know you've grown up when you're able to accept criticism and learn from it.

I recently tried mobcode & invitecodematrix.
Mob code had a ridiculous amount of invalid codes; it was awful!!
I didn't like invitecodematrix because 1) It was TW specific & all those other game names just crowd the screen, 2) The ads were obnoxious; there are plenty of sites without ads, and 3) There was no way to quickly search for a time frame. I just had to keep clicking to go back 5 pages at a time. Considering I wanted the oldest codes, it was awful!
As far as the others I've looked at, I've only been on thuglife's site briefly, but I know it has ads too. The new uk site only has temp codes so far.
Nothing I've seen competes with ccdb. It has no ads, 99% (at least) of their codes are valid, it has an easy way to search for any time frame, you can also search for a code, it has both regular & temp codes, it has any easy code flagging system, & you can even paste lots of codes in there at once & have them flagged. -
Yeah, I forgot to mention http://www.turfwars.info That site is really easy to do the copy and paste between safari and TW. I see no ads at all on invitecodematrix. (chrome+adblocker=goodness) Tip for using invitecodematrix: set it to display 100 codes at a time and in the order they were entered. Start with the most recent and work your way down the list checking off as you go. That makes it very easy to see where you left off.
Yeah mobcode was better before they got blasted with a huge amount of invalid codes. I think they have that cleaned up now though. They have always been weak caues they only display 10 at a time and its really hard to find your way to a particular point in their timeline. They have added the ability to jump to specific dates but you can only still see 10 at a time.
-
If twdb would go back to the large easy to read codes that they used to have, that coupled with their recent improvements would easily make them the best site out there so far. Keep the codes as images if you are worried about "security" but at least get rid of those stupid little boxes around every letter. Who thought that would be a good idea? Just gets in the way of reading the very thing that you are there for. Dumb.

2 - i never asked what anyone thought other than the mods.
3 - given constructive criticism i respond with explanation or a change to the site.maybe when you do a little growing up you will realize why blanket statements and giving your opinion out unasked for is bad.

For example to go to page 78 you'd go to:
