Night wrote: That's funny. Can you explain to me how about a week ago CCDB updated and had almost 1000 codes that have never been seen before (of course all the other sites immediately copied and pasted into their own database)? That was because most of the current mods on the sites had a database of codes that had never been seen before. Do you think the mods will all of sudden stop getting codes that aren't located anywhere else?...no.
I was under the impression that all those codes came out when thuglife opened the vault section on his site, www.turfwars.info. Since those codes all appeared on the sites at the same time, I guess we'll never know. Just goes to show that there is no way to limit codes to only one site.

How does it invalidate the use of images? Images can't be cut/pasted like text anyway...

give me 10,000,000 images rather easy to read and i will automate the translation of those images into text with a few lines of code. this is where my knowledge of whats going on is leveraged to protect the moderators' hard work.0mnïus🎓 wrote:

and to address your above comment : all the code sites have been rather incestuous. i, personally, have /never/ automated scraping of the other sites but i know full well that our list has been getting downloaded by scraping scripts since very near the beginning. we began our db with all the big code lists in the invite forum, started hunting individual codes down and then enlisted a group of moderators to help with the harvesting effort. thats why we have always had codes that none of the other sites have because they don't have as many people working manually on it. they also don't have the validation anywhere near the 99% we maintain. the only time their numbers come close is when they scrape our list. well i am tired of feeding the other sites without resistance. ergo, images. with boxes. believe it or not, i do actually know a thing or two.

thats because thug has no issues lying to anyone who will listen. including me, till recently, when i realized that everyone was right about him. his site wouldn't exist as it is without my having helped him in both idea and function. i even offered him direct access to our db to feed his site. his response was to feign disinterest and scrape the codes anyway. enter 'his' vault that is roughly half invalid because he doesn't have the resources to scrub the data like we do. he also makes baseless claims like 'i got 10k mob from my site' which is another lie. he had well over 5k mob before even began to put the site together. he can keep his codes and have fun scrubbing them himself. we are way ahead of that lame effort.Night wrote: ..

Thug never said anything to me. I never asked. I'm just stating that is what it appeared like. Yes, I guess code sites are incestuous. Its the nature of the beast. By incentivizing their users, they get them to bring in every code they find. It's sort of inevitable that all codes will be on all sites just because of that.

Invitecodematrix > all other code sites imo

Rather than worry about keeping those 200 or so additional codes exclusive to your list, I would suggest that you spend your time making your site the EASIEST to use, read, and the most flexible and you will naturally attract the widest audience and hence the most, freshest codes. Being the easiest to use is a HUGE incentive al by itself. Any newbie faced with punching 9500 codes will naturally gravitate toward the site that is the easiest to read (less eyestrain, larger fonts, etc.) Let's face it, punching codes ain't fun.
I'm bringing all the codes that I find to invitecode cause their format makes it the easiest for me to keep track of what I've punched thus far. 100 codes per page all in a neat column with no extraneous text or colors. (use an adblocker so no ads). I was even pleasantly surprised to see that they have about 1500 codes that I haven't punched yet. Old codes to be sure but i'll get to them sooner or later. Probably from a few months ago when I stopped punching codes for a while....

Haha good work on the site. Should be easier to remember the site now haha.

And to solve your original problem Jim, which was that you couldn't copy and print out the codes...you can still print out the codes as they appear on the TWDB website and go anywhere you want and type them into TW, just as you were doing before. And then just go to the top-right corner above the codes and flag all those codes as "Good"...so you know that you've done them. If you find any that are bad and want to take the time, you can go back later and note on the website the ones that were bad.

I know 0mni is currently working on making it easier to use...that was one request that I made coming in as a mod. The fact that TWDB has the most validated codes is the biggest plus, in my mind. It seems like the most complaints I see from users of any of the sites is the frustration you get when you come across BAD codes...which you get very little of at TWDB.Rather than worry about keeping those 200 or so additional codes exclusive to your list, I would suggest that you spend your time making your site the EASIEST to use, read, and the most flexible and you will naturally attract the widest audience and hence the most, freshest codes. Most of what you said can be achieved on TWDB. You can track which codes you've done by marking them Good or Bad. You can control how many come out on a page by restricting the dates. Yes, they look a little different than you are used to, but 0mni explained that already.I'm bringing all the codes that I find to invitecode cause their format makes it the easiest for me to keep track of what I've punched thus far. 100 codes per page all in a neat column with no extraneous text or colors. The only major difference I see is the fact that you can't copy/paste...which I completely understand your frustration if that's what you've been doing all along. I've been in that same boat...where do you think my database of codes came from that I gave to CCDB. You are used to doing it that way, so that's what's most comfortable and convenient for you. However, that doesn't mean that's the only way to get codes and track what you've done.

Great job guys... One small request... Can u make the Good buttons all line up in the row? I punch a page at a time and it takes longer to punch good since they no longer line up.

i agree with you and weighed this heavily beforehand. those 1500 you haven't punched? they probably came from us. by my estimate, there are at least 2k, if not 3, codes that were funneled through us before they went to any other sites. just night's group alone contributed over 1200 in the first shot. that doesn't include recent contributions.Rather than worry about keeping those 200 or so additional codes exclusive to your list, I would suggest that you spend your time making your site the EASIEST to use, read, and the most flexible and you will naturally attract the widest audience and hence the most, freshest codes. Just having one problem. Love the blue numbers but against the gray background I have a hard time catching the numbers at first look. Instead of just a quick look I really have to focus to see it clearly. It was fine before with the white background. Maybe it's just my aged eyes🙍 but it really is fuzzy.
And I agree with Shake it would be much clearer it the green bars all lined up straight. 😋
Now if you could just make checked codes disappear!! Have an option to view if the person wants but otherwise it's also a waste of bandwidth to keep loading unnecessary info.Otherwise doing great!😺

Just assign all the checked codes a value of '1' and when a person logs in they see only the new values that auto assigns a '0' value, showing them codes they havnt seen. shouldnt be too hard to implement. Easy on bandwidth 👍
