Who else logs on to ICM to punch codes and get annoyed seeing a long list of the starting codes using the same word diff number? I.E. code111, code222, code333.
I just logged on and saw 20 of the same ones added by Automechguro. And he was still adding. And last week I believe it was someone else adding even more. I wouldn't have such a problem with it if they would do it once to bump their code like some do, but they are selfish and do it to get on the top three. Most if not all of those codes are inactives. I am guessing they don't punch looking at their mob or they would understand the frustration. -
I feel that eventually it'll be a few who add codes and the rest spam lists like this to get in the top three. I wasn't going to say anything but with another person making lists like this, and more just doing it once to bump creating large portions of worthless codes I was interested in hearing other code punchers thought. People who use this "tactic" I'd like to hear input on why you do it and of you actually punch codes regularly. Thanks.

It is annoying.

Report it. I believe they take down the codes if theire not valid or if the player is inactive. Well thats what it's says at the top.
-
I might've missed the inactive thing. I thought about it but I know that it is not the responsibly of ICM to make sure they are active, but just to make sure it is a valid code. And turf wars can't do anything about it because it is outside the game.

I'll punch any code I can find, even if it appears to belong to an inactive player. I'll take the chance that they might login again one of these days and accept my invite.

I know you are not trying to cause problems that's why I asked you to come here and explain. But one code can bump you. And I may be wrong on them being active but how do you know they are new and not old codes from years past. They are not inactives that is a new string of codes. There a ton of guys doing the same but everyday they post multi codes but only a few from each. I how ever just threw them up there

Just written and deleted a thread about the same.

Rage445 Red05Some of the players who's "codes" you've added.
The players do not exist when searched.

Thank you Charlie I realized I should've done that before I made a thread so I went to go do it and the our I did are inactive.

I had the courtesy to message you to explain your side of things because I named you. Now return some common courtesy at least. Your comments go back 28 weeks, maybe get a groove of things before being a dick.Blah blah blah 3/4 of the codes on icm are inactives so stop crying
-
I am slightly annoyed also - annoyed to the fact that someone has nothing better to do other than find and post inactive codes, but on the other hand..... These are codes that I haven't punched and may never get to punch if I'm still here in a year.
All in all, thank you for posting them but would you kindly give it a break for a while.

None of the ones showed up in search. Like I sai you are newer so you don't know what that means but I'd quit lying. Oh and I watched you add about 1 per 30-60 sec. So much work. 😒What don't you get that is a new string of codes. NEW PLAYERS. DUHHH!!!!! I just took the time to find them since when is that a problem

When searching one of the names I stated above it returns a negative search. I understand this to mean that there is no player waiting to except the invite. Therefore I take this as a rogue code and a waste of time basically.

New codes does not mean new players. Codes could belong to inactive players that have never posted their code anywhere and then never get added to ICM. There have been in the hundred thousand range amount of players and few play the game before try just quit and certainly a very small percentage post their code anywhere. Say tree have been 200,000 players (probably a lot more) and there are under 50,000 codes. At that low overall player amount, only 1/4th of codes have been added. Plenty of undocumented codes are not on ICM after all. What don't you get that is a new string of codes. NEW PLAYERS. DUHHH!!!!! I just took the time to find them since when is that a problem

@U.A. He is not findin them per say. He took a new code someone added and changed the numbers on them and went through the triple digit numbers and found them that way. These are all old default codes from years gone by.

The irony 😱Ok haha you then a dumb ass and don't get it all the codes I entered were triple check to make sure that they were the correct codes before posting the on icm

It's like having a pirate treasure map with a big massive "X" on it but no treasure under it.
They're codes for players that do not exist or have not checked in to TW in a good six months or more.

Of course it is silly. If you don't have time to punch codes that you think belong to inactive players, then click on the "Check All Codes" button at the bottom of the page and move on.I really doubt that someone is going to take my top spot, especially for all time contributions (over 10,000 codes so far). But if they do, then that means I will have that many more codes to punch and I will thank them for it.
-
@atla. That is what I started doing. But with the amount of players who want to bump their code but dont want to punch you don't think this will catch on and become pages of inactives? He is doing it because he saw others doing it.

Complain to Turf Wars support if you can't find a player. That sounds like a bug.

You saw the code someone else added and changed numbers 😖 keep your pep talks about how smart you are for your mirror.Ok we'll then you are not smart enough to figure it out. Anyone can take a 5 letter word and punch 3 numbers at the end. It's finding out how to get the new batch names is the trick

I'm indifferent however towards this situation. On one hand, it's annoying doing constant punching for one type of code, and have ten following couple pages follow the same exact pattern for codes that may or may not work. On the other hand, I probably punch countless inactive codes on ICM that aren't followed in this pattern or are custom codes of players who went inactive, in which case, these "lists" are no different than punching any other code posted. -
automechguro wrote:
When you type the code it shows that the player was successfully invited whether its a live player or not.How are you searching for player from the invite code it is not possible
Using the magic of sight and memory, I used the search player part of the game to search the player.
