To echo saelo's recommendation, A Song of Ice and Fire is one of the best book series I've read. The Inheritance Cycle by Christopher Paolini, The Unwind Series by Neil Shusterman, The Escape from Furnace Series by Alexander Gordon Smith, The Hunger Games Trilogy by Suzanne Collins, 11/22/63 by Stephen King, The Lord of the Rings Trilogy by J.R.R Tolkein, The Divergent Trilogy by Veronica Roth, the Inkheart Trilogy by Cornelia Funke, and The Alex Rider Series by Anthony Horowitz.
Just a few of my personal favorites
-
The Aubrey - Maturin series by Patrick O'Brian. 21 books takes some commitment, but it's a great read.

chris crutcher is one of my favorite authors.

0.4 is my favorite book of all time. Just finished it two weeks ago.
I highly recommend it! -
All of these are good, if you are reading on an 8th grade level. I don't know how old you are, but there is amazing literature that is a little more difficult. Maybe read some of plato's collections, atlas shrugged or anything by ayn rand, the rule of four, the Screwtape letters, the incredible lightness of being, etc.

Game of Thrones all are kick ass. Lone survivor, American Sniper, no easy day, fearless, service. All are must haves. All true stories.

If you read c.s. Lewis' the Screwtape letters when you were 11, you better be teaching literature at Harvard. Which I highly doubt.E=MC(Hammer) wrote:

What can I say. I found the writing in the series quite accessible as would many other young intelligent adults here. If you didn't, then you must have really struggled with The Dialogues and Rand. Sorry. 😢😢😢saelo wrote:

Montmorency series. Its a fiction about a Thief in London in the 1800s. Insanely addicting and it's just like Sherlock holmes

Seconding others above, the Hunger Games series are great!
