What came first?

The chicken or the egg? If the chicken came first how did it get there? If the egg came first, who laid it? I believe the egg came first..

The selfish cock came first

Some creature that looks similar to today's modern chicken laid an egg with the chicken that know today. Once that happened more and more popped up and they just took over the chicken race...species, Evolution 101 😝

Well, according to the Bible, The chicken (Or the chicken's ancestor) was created by God, near the beginning of the Earth. So, in my personal opinion, I believe the chicken came first.

God created all the animals and soo the chicken!!!+ if the egg really did come first then how did it survive?? It needs outside heat to stay alive soo a chicken had to give the warmth... There is no such thing as evolution. period!!!!

There is evolution, whether you want to believe it or not. Where beliefs divulge is how it began. There is actually an experiment that was tested where lightning struck molten lava and somehow under certain conditions created amino acids, which can over time mutate into proteins and into some sort of organ system. Of course for hundreds of million of years it was crude, but it evolved into something we consider to be a birthplace of the human species, speaking from a scientific standpoint soley. From a religious standpoint evolution still occurs but whatever you believe created the world did so and whatever happened in that belief happened.

For those of you saying god created the animals therefore chicken came first. First let's clear something up. I am indeed a Christian. From my readings of the bible, all it says is that he created the animals, not how. Therefore, I believe god caused evolution.
As to how it survived...god does miracles. How do I know this? The bible, duh. There is such thing as evolution. period!!!! -
Never says anything about evolution!!! Duh!!!
-
Are you talking specifically about chicken eggs or any egg? And is this in relation to a modern chicken or a chicken ancestor?
-
Logic dictates tha the egg came first...
-
I came first.
Happy now?
-
Im talking about chicken...... How did the chicken egg survive

Actually, the Millers experiment was conducted in an atmosphere different than what would've been the atmosphere then. The true atmosphere would've created formaldehyde and cyanide 👍. Not that that makes your original statement wrong, it's just that fact doesn't support that point of view.darth vulki wrote:

Whoah, hold up there vulki. I agree with you that god was the creator of all living things, but like what Chicken said, you do sound very "ignorant". Remember vulki, everybody is entitled to what they believe. Nobody here has the definite answer, plus evolution is a theory, just like their is a theory to a god( or gods if your polytheistic).God created all the animals and soo the chicken!!!+ if the egg really did come first then how did it survive?? Neither, bacteria came first and evolved later on to being a multicellular organism that went through adaptation to better fit its environment through evolution. Your debate is invalid
-
Ok who ever is a christian and says they believe in evolution is lying!!! Thats not what a christian is
-
Exactly you cant be christian and believe in evolution at the same time. You contradict yourself.
-
Eggs were around before chickens.. So the egg
-
"Aliens"

We talking about chicken eggs, or eggs in general?
In general there have been eggs way before chickens, but if you are talking chicken eggs you need to evolve/mutate/create the chicken first before you can have your chicken (laid) egg.
