I like there justice system, gives people a chance to be rehabilitated, I think they have handled the whole affair with restraint and dignity, a good example to the rest of us.
So how about we let the guy out in ten years and let him move in with you and your family. I'm sure the fact he has stated he wants to kill more people shouldn't bother you.
He won't be out in ten years or even 21, he will be moniterd throughout his incarceration and if as you state he continues to make threats he won't be released.
Now my point was that I was impressed with the dignity of both the courts and the Norwegian people that have had to delt with the case.
How you got anything else from my post is beyond me, I can only asume that you are a dick, that's why you missed the point. -

Both of them have killed. So by most of the people here's logic, they are "equal". Different reasons to kill, but death is death.ϻ͞ċȵя͟ɗƖҽ wrote:

Both are human. So are we. So we equal him. Erm NO. Just because they fall into a similar category does not make them the same. Yes both a soldier and he killed. One for fun. One for duty and country. Equal. Not in my mid

He killed a bunch of labour party supporters on that island because he was convinced the labour party was a threat to his country.
There is no difference between a soldier and him.And he was diagnosed insane by 2 psychologist. But the another three disagreed and said he was sane.
There is so many ways to diagnose someone as insane, they contradict each other. -
Believe it or not, by one method of diagnosis, hipsters are insane.
Someone who doesn't follow social norms or does something socially unacceptable. -
Agreed. If you read I first stated its a catch 22. You can't be sane and commit those acts. But then you can't have a possibility of release either

But when you bring torture and execution into this, I begin to disagree. -
Certusd never mentioned either of this
I did mention torture, but in a way that incarceration is surely torture in itself
I am happy that this guy is never gonnna be released
u know also that there's a lot of freaks out there that agree wit this guy -
I'm sorry, but could you two explain to me how you think that someone that has commited murder 77 times against innocent civilians deserves to be called a human being? I don't consider him to be on my level, I consider him to be below me. It's not discrimination. It's that this scum killed innocent people. As for the comment about US soldiers, that is an entirely different spectrum. People that fight for their country so their country can have peace is different. I feel like you two think we should be shaking hands and hugging the people that would kill every one of us given the chance.

Bottom line is we as humans try to justify what we do against our guilt, sadness, and anger to ourselves. If you have no feelings or morals and act upon that by taking the lives of innocent people you don't deserved to be called a human being. It's how this scum is treated and how we feel that it's justified and to what point is enough is where we disagree. It's all values. Let's agree to disagree on this because we won't change each others views on this topic, ever. Though I'd still like an answer to my last post.

Wow, lots of people wanting another human being to be brutally tortured. Lethal injection is one thing, brutally torturing him is another.
-
There's a lot of strong opinions on here, I don't think anybody means torture in the obvious old fashion sense of the word. There's many ideas of torture for instance, he would probably like to get the death sentence which would give him a greater sense of notoriety. In this case to torture him would be keeping him alive for a very long time with no access to any media of any sort or communication with the outside world and such

Fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu he's dead. If he doesn't get the death penalty someone will still kill him.I've just seen that the mass murderer who SHOT DEAD 69 innocent people in Norway who also smiled all through the court hearing before apologising for NOT killing more has only received 21 years in jail with a minimum of just 10 years.

Between him and an American soldier, there is no difference mentally.
