Oh hi there turf wars players. I wanted to bring up a discussion today do I could keep myself entertained while waiting in a room while my friend gets his tatto. Pretty interesting stuff right? But when he came out it read "Fuck da police" on it and I felt uncomfortable considering I work for a police department. So I thought what are your thoughts on local law enforcement, what do they do good, bad, or can improve on? Oh and one more thing, I saw that you guys finished the Columbo episode in under 5 hours so I will get to the vacation post after I get my vacation, and I am going to lower the time from five hours, to two hours just to test you're wit and detection skills. Thanks a bunch.

Lol man just look at him an say if you wouldn't break the law they wouldn't fuck with ya. And let him know you think it's really stupid but his body not your so whateva!

I have and always will, teach my children that police and all law inforcment are untrustworthy and crooked.
I hate cops. All cops. If u currently wear a badge, you have an authority complex. These are just my opinions. All be it, deeply imbedded. But still opinions.

I work in law enforcement as well. Most of them are good guys, but there are some assholes. If you had to deal with the crap they do, it might change your opinion on their attitude.

I'm sorry that you feel that way but I work with some very good guys. But I respect your views as that is my job. However I do find it sad that you have that opinion about police officers as they aren't all crooked and evil. But I would like to tell you as a regular person, I don't do my job because I want to be higher than everyone or to have more authority, I do it because I love serving my country by doing my best to keep you all safe, as far as humanly possible.I have and always will, teach my children that police and all law inforcment are untrustworthy and crooked.

I have my CHL and I take my gun with me everywhere I go, except to work. There is a police officer in a nearby town that if he stops you, he will take your gun, go sit in his car with his gunsmithing tools, and completely take apart every piece of the gun - springs and all. Then, he will kindly put them in a plastic bag and return it to you so that you can go on your way. He has done this to several of my buddies and we even talked about this issue in my CHL class.
I know that this is an isolated case but it is extremely frustrating when things like this occur. Most police officers that I know personally are genuinely good people who truly love their job and what they do.

My girlfriend fairly recently performed with a recording artist that opened for a bunch of rappers including Rick Ross and some other big names. They had a police escort. When they got to the venue the cop who was fairly high up in the chain of command pulled out a huge bag of cocaine.
Almost every experience I've had with cops has left me with the impression they are either corrupt or on a power trip and are rude.
I've only met 2 cops that were nice and that was when they were off duty.
I know of someone who was waiting for the bus in Montreal a couple months ago. The cops were trying to get everyone to disperse in that area. They told him to move and he said he was waiting for the bus to go home. Then a cop hits him in the back of the head with his nightstick knocking him out and leaving him there on the sidewalk. -
The media has made the reputation of cops go somewhat downhill, with all the stories of abusing power just to be an asshole or videos of them getting caught planting drugs on suspects. Obviously this doesn't apply to every cop, but I have nothing against that tattoo; it's freedom of speech & expression technically.

The ones that go into the job for the right reasons - to protect the community and keep the streets safe - and treat you with respect are fine and I have a great amount of respect for them. It's the ones that seem to be on some sort of high with the authority they have been given that give the police a bad name. Unfortunately there seem to be more of the latter 👮😒

The police are just people and like all people you have your dickheads and you have your nice people.
But like people They are affected by the experiences they've been through. So of they've spent alot of time in a place that has high crime and violonce it would probably distort there view about people, especially people in that area. -
Cops are in a very difficult position. Daily they have to deal with the dross of the dross, it must make them very jaded about the human race after a while, so it's not surprising if they start suspecting the worse from each new person they come across.

Being in law enforcement I can say there are some bad apples in the bunch but it is a very small percentage. I approach everyone with respect and professionalism until you decide (by your tone, body language, speech, etc...) to turn it into something else. Act like an ass to me and I can be the biggest ass you've ever seen.
Freemason on behalf of law enforcement I apologize to you for that jackass cop that takes guns apart. I would file a formal complaint with his dept. I am glad our state has a liberal CHL law. If I get into something I don't mind having ready backup, officer or civilian.

There are good cops and bad cops. Any position of any kind of power will have people that are corrupt, and people that are so far from it it's scary.
The prOblem is that you hear about the corruption far more often than you hear about the good.
I hold no faith in anything as a whole, and judge people based on what I know of them. -
The cops in my area are pretty top notch, as a matter of fact later this evening we will be beating the crap out of the county sheriffs softball team to sweep the season series against them.... For the fifth year in a row. Poor bastards, costs them two cases per loss to us as well. Proof that Fire Dept trumps cop shop every time. Of course I have, more than once, been pulled over "just to chat" and one time because one of the guys wanted to check out my new car.... So on the side of the expressway I had 3 squads with full lights, opening all the doors, the trunk, the hood on my car. Anyone passing must have thought they found a damn high level smuggler.

This is true. But....... In my experiences, many many many experiences, with law inforcement, I have learned that even the good ones are only good alone. I have had times where I have been pulled over by a single cop, no partner, no waiting for backup. Just one single cop. And they were pretty cool. I would get cited for my mess up, and sent on my marry way. Then........ I run into the same cop, with backup and/or partner in tow. These same nice cops all of a sudden are on a high horse and you are their shit. Nothing more. It really gets pounded home when that same cop has a gun in your face. For speeding...........🌆💀🔫GTR36🔫💀🌆 wrote:

My thoughts in the matter is if your gonna yell "fuck da police" you shouldnt be able to call them for help.

I heard of police man in England that hit a drunk man, just for fun, on the back to the ground. He got up went around the corner and died. And he's not serving any time because he changed to a different force, and none of the forces communicate, so they have no idea he killed a man. It's so sad they take advantage of their power in bad ways. This was in the guardian I think.

I haven't had many run ins with the law, but for the most part they have been awful. I have dealt with only a couple nice and polite policeman while the rest have been very rude. My record consists of two speeding violations and a yellow light that turned to a red light once I made it to court. This is over the course of 15 years, nothing else. Most of the time the police are very rude for no apparent reason. They are very untrusting and try to catch you lying I guess. One time I was pulled over and the policeman told me I ran a yellow light and he clarified that it was not red. He said I had a chance to stop but I didn't. I was out of the intersection before the light turned red. When my court date arrived, the policeman said I had run a red light, no longer a yellow light. The judge didn't believe me when I told him specifically what the officer told me on the day of the ticket. $500 down the drain and traffic school.

State cops usually fine and cool local cops are the assholes and lazy. They need to wear their tie extra tight to keep the fore skin from flying up.

My Dad is law enforcement and he and most of his co-workers are respectable in his job. How ever, some are major d-bags that are corrupt or flat out idiots. Of course this might be kinda a tainted answer but it seems that ,most are good guys who go through a lot some are corrupt idiots, mostly police chiefs or other administration

Don't like cops??? Next time you need help call a crack head and see how far that gets you.

Or stand your ground like a man...... Why do you HAVE to choose a side. Make your own. You are the only person who will watch your back and those who you love. Not some guy who's "just doing his job". He chose the fucking job. No one forced them to be cops. Just as no one forced me to be a criminal. It is a choice. These people are put in a position of power and ok, we as a society need that. But they should be held to a HIGHER standard than the rest of us.Don't like cops??? My local police are useless. The response times blow and for the most part their attitude stinks. This is from my view in my job. Sick of them to be fair.
