By the way, I'm not trying to change anyone's mind with these questions. Just curious if everyone who supports gay marriage (not interested in responses to these questions from people opposed to gay marriage) thinks an attraction between two people, absolutely regardless of circumstances, is enough for it to be acceptable for them to marry and/or have an intimate/sexual relationship.

There is some logic behind the taboo on incest. With each inbred generation, they get a double dose of every bad gene in their DNA, until eventually it's impossible to further reproduce. Extrapolated to a global scale, you get a lot of sick people, which is bad. There is no such effect with homosexuality.

Homosexuality gets special attention from Christians because people say that because they should be able to love whom they want, it isn't a sin. For most sins, people don't try to say it isn't a sin. Or if they recognize it as sin, they don't say, well it's who I am so it's ok if I do it anyway. For real followers of Christ, it has nothing to do with hating gays. It's about recognizing sin as sin, but whether Christians should spend their time fighting for laws to prevent things they don't approve of is another question. Ban gay marriage? Won't stop people from being gay. So what's the point? Christians don't have to recognize a gay marriage as valid in God's eyes even if it is approved in secular society, so why bother fighting it? It would probably be a better use of time and words to just teach people about Jesus and let Him do the business of changing hearts and minds. -
