What do u do when u feel drepressed?
Forums › General Discussion › What do u do when u feel drepressed?-
When u just feel like crap, and don't feel like dealing with life anymore, what do u do?
Do u talk to someone, and if so, who? Do u look for a discussion, or just someone to vent too?

Honestly, i have attempted (unsuccesfully) to kill myself on 3 occasions.....
But unfortunately
Usually i turn to drugs/alcohol which seem to help but only make me more depressed (unless its morphine)
But i have always written in journals which has helped. I am in am extremely happy part of my life right now bc the last year i have been through hell
And back emotionally. I will tell you that SELF realization amd reflection has saved me. It took several months of a deep deep depression, but i happier than ever bc i figured out on my own how to better myself. Hang in there dude. Things will get better if you let them get better -
The key is believing in yourself. I was suicidal and one day i wrote in my journal
"i can have ALL my dreams if i LET myself have them"
Since then i have gained a lot and i have not paid for a single hour of therapy or any medicatioms. Just believe in yourself man and you will find yourself

I play my guitar. It's my escape from reality.

Talk to my wife - she knows my ups and downs and that it will all work out sooner or later.
Funny, cause I just spilled my guts (work crap) for a half hour before opening the app
Nice to have someone who understands and doesn't just give advice or say suck it up.

I usually pray about it.. Getting it off my chest usually helps.

I read, write, listen to music. Anything creative and distracting to get my mind off of whatever happened. I have never been good at talking about my feelings because half the time I don't even know what I'm feeling myself. I just remember that I'm here for a reason and that it gets better.
Listen to Miss Piazza's advice too.

If I'm stressed I'll eat. Other than that, I usually just bottle up my emotions. I have a virtual journal I write my thoughts in when I'm in a mood. Doesn't help much, but a little. If you can talk about it with someone.

Write some poetry. Best release ever.
-
I go to DVD's Pal room and laugh.
-
I work on my car. I usually think and reflect on things when I'm working on it, so I actually figure alot of things out.
-
🍻 with friends. It makes you say what's truly on your mind which means this is an opportunity for others to express how important how are to their lives. However, this shouldn't be an excuse to drink constantly. The communication here is more important.

Thanks for all the tips guys, (and girl/s). It means a lot

Never had this really but my best advice is to not bottle up the emotion. It will build up in secretcy of your subconscious and inner conscious thoughts and soon will crack the surface and release badly. The emotion can be channeled through poetry, writing, having a journal or talking to someone. If you want, scream it out in anger to release the emotion, just be alone and usually after a peak of emotion you have a moment of lack of emotion and soon it regulates itself in balance. Chose ultimately turns to order over time, some short or long, but always balances. Applies to everything that can have a balance and/or imbalance. Nut especially talk to friends, family, and others and try to get them to just listen and not
Interupt or pass judgment, that doesn't help. And if that all fails, just run down broadway in new York city and yell to the world your depression causes. Might be some interesting results.

Seriously though, always treat the source. Not the symptom(s). That applies to everything that has a source and symptoms; so many, many things.

I listen to music. Earbuds block out the world. But long turm I guess I don't do much, just let all life's frustrations build up and up till I get pushed over the edge and let it all out at once... You'd be surprised at what you can say after so long... And the other person's reaction.

I generally sleep, eat, or get drunk. Lol
-
I grab a beer and get in touch with some friends and laugh it out. Or go to sleep. My chemicals are just messed up.
-
What I have done:
- Find someone to talk to
- think positive thoughts
- relativate (is this an english word?). A lot of people have it much worse than you
- make sure you always have something to look fw to
- try to learn something new (e.g. play instrument).
- be creative, create something (e.g. Music) -

Bet they go unanswered

Make music, eat, text the world & just talk.
-
I would probably read or play my clarinet, but, on different situations I would act differently👍

I usually talk to my mom. She's a great listener and doesn't mind sitting through my stuff. But then she tends to use it against me later when she's mad at me... 😢

I ride my streetbike until i completely "reset" or clear my mind of any and all issues in my life n when i get back i feel like pushing forward and fighting the good fight! U gotta find that one thing that u can completely lose ur self in and i dont mean alcohol or drugs i mean be proactive maybe build something random or hit the gym really hard and then come back to the troubles with an open mind.. Good luck to ya it aint easy but u gotta take the bad w the good cuz otherwise ud never appreciate what good feels like...
