When you see a little with a smart phone and it's not their parents 🙎 when I was that age the best thing I had was a wagon😏 it was fun but still my point is why give a small child a smart phone?
-
How small?
-
I don't really care, it's their decision. It's dumb, but whatever right?
-
Thay could be out without their parents and have allergies, or Astma, or some other health Problum and need an emergency phone just in case.
-
That's pretty stupid , and you just wonder y kids are disrespectful nowadays , they get everything they want just because they want it
-
Wait a little what?
-
I really couldn't care less. They could be reading a digital book for all you know. But if their parents want to give them a toy such as an iPod or iPhone, then by gosh let'm have it. After all it is "their" kid.
I seriously don't even know why people are so arrogant today.

I hate the ones who do that and then complain about not having money

So because it's "their kid" they can do whatever they'd like??? So as the child grows up a spoiled brat w/o many friends and is a little rat to other kids who don't have the luxury to have an IPhone at 6 yrs old. Who's fault is it now?I really couldn't care less. I mean what if they work for a phone company, and they get phones for free, wouldn't u want ur kid to have a nice phone for free?
-
I gave my son an iPod (I repaired it after buying it cheaply damaged). Total cost around $24. He's seven now and uses it mostly to write stories and trade math problems with his grandfather via email. He also reads Wikipedia and other sources on topics he's curious about--lately dinosaurs. I thought he'd just play and listen to music and that would have been fine, too. He's also into photography and videography.

That being said, growing up I had the mentality that not everything is going to be given to you.my two cents

So your saying if parents want to give them something nice that they really don't need "coughs" Christmas "coughs" that you don't agree with that. Either you have something against kids having nice things or you are just extremely paranoid. If I would like my kid to have an iPhone pod or nintendo 3ds I will give it to him or her. I don't need someone thinking that it's not right and get all pissy about it.
-
Also, to touch up on that comment of yours, some family's are more blessed than others. It's no ones fault that another person doesn't have as much money as them. I don't like the way you think that you know more about a person's kid then the parents. You don't know their kid and therefor should probably let it go. Think about yourself instead of other things that have the tiniest impact on your life. I stand with my origanal comment. *two cents*

To each their own... That puts it best. Different parents have different ways. My *final* two cents

Chill. You are overreacting. I got a phone when I was 9 and an iPod touch when I was 10. People tell me I'm one of the nicest kids they know.🔨Wulfgar🔨 wrote:

Who else hates when adults complain about what other parents do with their kids and how they raise them?

If different parents have different ways then why in the world are you over reacting about someone else's(not yours) child having something nice? Is it because you think your way is right and should have other children learn the way you did? It's called a free country for a reason. To each their own... That puts it best. Quick tip:
Keep your nose out of other peoples business and people will keep their nose out of yours. -
I completely agree with clone! Plus what if you find a good deal on an iPod or something like that and you don't actually have enough money to constantly buy toys for them. The iPod could be there only source of entertainment (apart from going outside and playing with other kids and stuff like that

Speaking only for myself, as a parent (and now grandparent), I want my family to have everything nice I can provide for them. But I was also responsible for teaching them life values, as well. Giving children material things does not necessarily lead to irresponsible adults,

Yeah! People should not let kid do technology! I never did when i kid. Why do they then? Ya meatheads!
