RON PAUL. Only politician I've ever heard who suggests cleaning house by re-electing the good guys, and voting out the corruption. Even if doing this would take him out of office as well. When I heard him mention that suggestion it felt refreshing. I was so used to career political figures that I forgot what someone with real conviction sounded like.

Does anyone else find it extremely interesting that the economy tanked and inflation was the highest it had ever been when President Carter was in office and shortly there-after?
That same decade gave us the tools and policies to ruin the housing market in the last decade. Easy credit. Housing for all.
We are talking about the problems of today. The whirlwind shitstorm of government interference culture of the '70s has majorly contributed to our biggest problems of today: Economy, oil policy, big government.
Yes, the policy of stupid was perpetuated by government since then... But Bush? He was just trying to hold it all together. He didn't change anything, except pumping funds back to the economy, and then taking them back out after 2001.
To be consice: You blame Bush Jr., and praise Carter. It's clearly backwards. Maybe you should re-think your cause and effect platform.

I just think that our economy is the primary issue this election year.
Maybe President Obama will suddenly reverse his ideology an do what needs to be done for business and government. But somehow, I doubt it.
He has continued on the course laid out by President Bush in matters of foreign policy. I think that's all he knows how to do. Not his priority, I think.
On domestic policy, he has continued on Bush's farewell policy of government bailouts. A short-term, knee-jerk policy if ever there was one, now approaching the 5th year on cruise control. His base plan is to expand government at the expense of business. He means well, I'm sure. But it's just not helping.

Obamas is a hypocrit. He's a left hand man which means he thinks that what you put in life, life's still gonna suck so let's tax the rich because they worked hard to get there money and the couch potatoes at home that dont TRY to get a job, just sit there and get a check from the gov. Back in the great depression when you couldnt get food for your family you went out and WORKED and got that food. And Obama should know this. Look at him. Biracial, living with his single mother and yet he WORKED HARD and became the frekin president. Also about taxes. If everyone payed the same tax like 10% it would be simple.
A $10,000 income they would have to pay $1,000
A $100,000 indcome they would have to have 10,000
A $1,000,000 income they would have to pay 100,000 ten times they tax of the first person.
I don't like ether one but you have to pick the lesser of two evils. -

Romney flip-flops back & forth with his words. He said to let the auto industry fail and then later said he would have bailed them out. He mocked Obama for that "you didn't build that yourself, someone helped you along the way" speech but said the exact same thing about the Olympic athletes.

So there's no way around it. There are morons on all sides of the debate.
People like to think that only the ones on "the other side" are ignorant.
Guess what? I think we can all agree, there are certainly people with twice your intelligence, knowledge, and experience on "the other side".
