I quit by using snus. It isn't as harsh as regular snuff and you don't need to spit all the time. Iv got about four of my friends to stop by using it. It's still tobacco but it is a good step at least it was for me. And I use frost by camel in case you want to know.

My dad has smoked for over 40 years and just recently started using this thing called CIGNOT. Since he started using it, on July 5th he hasn't smoked one real cigarette.
He said Cignot is an electronic cigarette that tastes like a reg cig but it uses water vapor. He has sent me a picture of it, the thing is pretty cool looking actually. I don't know how much it costs, but I would say its worth looking into. Good luck to you! -

I watched my grandfather die of emphesema.....
Get to know someone tht has lung cancer and i guarantee you will stop smoking the second yoy see how much pain they are in with every breath

Frost is pretty sweet. Spit for like the first ten or fifteen min then they get pretty mild and you can just leave it in. And their not big like pouches their very small. I get by with using about three to five a day. And I only pay about three bucks a can and it usually lasts about three days. I smoked a pack a day for years.

Try an e-cigarette you can slowly taper the dose. That's what I did and I have recommended it to my buddies and were (6 of us) smoke free, mostly. Nice thing is if you feel like you need one you pop in a nicotine free cartridge an puff away. Get a good one tho or you will be disappointed. And no you don't have to quit unless you want to.

Ty all for your advice I will look into all options just not a pill taker and miss piazza I to have seen my grandfather go threw that years ago

Here's a helpful tip! Usually people smoke because they are bored, scared, and or it's just a habit. The simple way of doing this is applying yourself to make a goal to stop smoking you can get your mind off of smoking by
Going to the gym a lot
Running
Cardio
And many more activities that keep you busy and healthy and keep your mind of cigs during the process. Some create their own calendar if they just can't stop and record each day how much they smoke and try to limit and or set a goal for themselfs for the rest of the month. There are a lot of other ways to get a release that smoking gives to smokers ie ecigs but stopping it al together is an effort and in the end a huge reward. Hope this info and suggestions helped!

Oh stay out of the bar! Nothing makes me want to fire one up like a beer and chicks shaking their ass.

This is what my dad told me on how to stop smoking.
Don't start it. But for you E-cigarettes can be a good replacement. Find a good replacement to cigarettes, my cousin quit chewing my replacing it with gummy bears. -
If you have kids, make a deal that every time they catch you, give them 10 dollars. I tried that with my mom, even though I got 30 in June alone.

No matter how mentally strong you might be, your body physically needs the nicotine. Some people can power through the sickness and withdrawal but it's not a sign of strength or weakness, just a sign of their own physiological makeup (some people are more physiologically open to change than others). So right off the bat don't beat yourself up or think you're weak.
I smoked a pack a day for eight years, and quit about seven years ago. I went to dip (Skoal), then down to Copenhagen chew pouches, then quit from there. The pouches are a nice step down as you don't get the full effect (their like tea bags filled with tobacco). It's a nasty habit so you may have better luck quitting that. I still have cravings every now and then though.

Its get harder to quit everytime. The only way to really do it is with sheer willpower.

Vaping aka e-cigs. Good luck!

Gum and patches didn't do it for me. Patches didn't replace the physical aspect of smoking. Nicotine gum made me burp and fart constantly, I didn't like it anyway. e-cigs are almost there. I ended up using nicotine lozenges which worked, but had to wean myself off those after a while.

My dad just opened a vapor store, trust me it's the best way to go!
-
Use to love smoking then one day woke up and said ima quit, never touched another cig, i foud it very easy
-
I quit for 3 years after having a heart attack, I let the stress from home and work get to me and now I'm smoking again . It is a nasty habit but I'll quit again. I'm gonna go with out any gum, patches, e cig's . You ready to join me ? We can quit together after all misery loves company . Just so you know I went from 0 to 2 packs a day in a month ! I'm starting Now !

I've been using e-cigs for a year now. Works for me. More like switching than quitting. You get the nicotine without the harmful smoke. But do some research first instead of buying the crappy e-cigs in the convince store.

Hot cinnamon gum helps to curb the cravings and keeping ur teeth brushed use listerine when the gum don't work. Keeping busy when u feel the urge to light up helps. Don't think about smoking and stay away from others that do smoke for about a month or so.

If your in the UK, go to your GP. Tell him you've tried every thing to quit but to no avail. And tell him you've ward about tablets that work. They make you physically sick if you smoke, hence forcing the body to quit😊

well the only thing i am addicted to is turfwars, if it gets too bad i delete the app, but i suppose you cant really delete cigarettes:/

I do. I smoke a lot. And I'm telling you, I smoke even more when I'm busy. As a tradesman, if I'm building a retaining wall, working on a vehicle or herding cattle, as long as I'm exercising or working, I chain smoke.
Your ideas regarding excersise etc. then, at least for myself and all the guys I work with, are invalid and useless.
Perhaps they'd work for some people, I don't know. But most definitely not for the majority.
The calendar idea might work. I've never tried anything like that ... But then, I quit quitting. Lol✌
