How many codes could you punch if you just stopped all the whinging?
-
Widowmaker u said they just can't build in the pile but do they know this when they first start. If they don't it is too late they placed their first turf and loose all their money they had and r stuck they have no money to build a turf and any money they get from missions gets taken away every hour. Now what do they do?

Night u just had bad timing.
-
good lord why are you complaining OG?
You asked me to let you have capo of Bellaire on gas day and so I did not cap you or anyone else...I let you take Capo (for now)
You're already making me regret my decision! -
Gerlich, u have been playing for a long time. Unfortunately bro, u have to choose. Find time to mob up if u want to stay competitive in this "game" or play it noncompetitively and don't be surprised if u get beat up here and there. If neither one fits u, then a person shouldn't play this game.

Yes.High school is hell, but there are plenty of people that play TW that work, are married, have kids, & still have plenty of mob.
If you're having issues in high school managing time then wait til your life actually begins. :/ -
Don page sorry.

Why r we even talking about this? There is a safezone and there is no changing that. So why do we keep on arguing if it is good or bad?
-
OG, it sounds like you are just complaining because you want to be free to cap anyone near you without having to mob up. I seriously doubt you'll find anyone - pro or anti sz that would side with you on that (except for noobs, possibly - assuming they aren't in capping range).

A person will not start out in the negative by giving protection on their first turf. It is a % of your current Inc, funds, inf, lvl. Everything comes into play. Not sure if all does but it does take your stats in consideration. U still make money. It's when u start growing and continue to pay protection is when u start loosing money. And when u get your turf to 84 inf, u don't have to worry about it anymore.Widowmaker u said they just can't build in the pile but do they know this when they first start. I am not complaining and I would not cap anyone I wanted I did not do that when there was no safezone so why would I do it now.
-
Trust me, the amount of money one would start out in a booming area like spots in my SZ outways the amount of money u would loose in protection. My brother just started this game and I have refreshed my memory on how it is as a noob just by helping him out. If anyone in Houston has any questions on how to be successful at this game, feel free to ask me. I'm sure Mystery, Atrition, Night, Texas, Gruver and any other big mobsters in this city will help as well.

Getting back to safezones in general, I'm going to restate my earlier question. For players that don't believe in sz, are you saying you don't have any areas of high income that you would do almost anything to protect?
-
All in all I don't mind if there r safezones. Yes there was a place I would protect but now it is a safezone. I guess that makes it easier I am not protecting it by myself.
-
Theoretically, capping in a SZ shouldn't be a problem. The idea behind safe zones is that you have enough players in a particular zone, that for the majority of the zone you max out the income of everyone who has turf there. Usually, you end up with some players who have extra turfs who are close together, where if you removed one of the turfs, none of the other turfs would have their income affected. Therefore, if you're a new player joining the safe zone, if you cap a turf that's doesn't affect income, you add a player to the group (yourself) without affecting anyone except for the one player who lost the turf. The problem with this theory is that many players don't understand or care or pay attention to the placement of other players turfs before they cap them. And so you end up with players completely wiping out another player in an area because they're greedy and just want turfs.
-
👆 Well said Night! When I capped yesterday, I was very selective which turfs I capped, making sure the player had more there (often next to the one I capped). So another way a sz protects income is from noob/naive players that would lower the income from poor capping.
-
"Safe Zone", "Income Pile" -- in my mind, these are one in the same. (Unless the SZ has crappy income!) Like Night mentions, the diversity of players in the pile are the key. *If* you cap, do it with an eye toward the growth/income of the pile... If you don't understand that last sentence, go cap elsewhere or reap the whirlwind.

the high areas of income I've had I allow limited capping. I've even done partial sz where certain players may have temporary protection while they get established. Does anyone have turf bringing in more than 52.3k without protection money?
-
No I think that's the max
-
I have a turf making over 52k In the biggest hot spot in Houston. No protection.

Well said Night. This is all I'm trying to do with the Houston SZ. I set a no cap rule for now just to keep the greediness at bay. This is why I am coming up with Gas Days for Houston so that I can closely monitor things a little better with specific rules. The main rule being exactly what u mentioned. Capping in general is not the problem, it's the income that gets screwed up in the process and someone has to keep an eye on that. This is y this SZ was formed.

Ahh, now you see it Belial (and I've felt this way for a while): What we call a Safe Zone and you call an Income Area -- there's very little difference. It is refreshing to finally see this, I had suspected it all along. ;)Widowmaker wrote:

@attrition
yes but some of gc3 is a bit different abou there safezones. But I kind of suspected Houston might be more like one of my areas. Widow never seemed like the total safezone kind of guy. Don't get ne wrong. I plan on invading that safezone as well. But more in a friendly manner. Widow has talked about wanting a good fight for a long time.
