MULES/MICRO MOBS
Forums › General Discussion › MULES/MICRO MOBS-
I want everyone's thoughts on this topic please as I personally am losing the will to turf.
Where is this going to end? It's pathetic BOTH sides use the tactic, BOTH sides want to win so bad they're ruining a perfectly good game.
The trouble is .. when fighting these low mob/influence accounts you CAN NOT WIN unless you fight fire with fire and use the same tactic & it's pathetic.
This isn't a dig at any individuals hence I haven't mentioned any names, this isn't an opportunity for each of us to start having digs at one another.. It's quite simply me asking in public that we come together and create a solution.
And before anyone says "wahhhhhh" no I haven't been capped by these mobs - infant I've hardly been active recently due to the way Turfwars is being played.

I completely agree. It ruins the game for anyone with a decent size mob. I can understand giving smaller players a fair crack of the whip, but this just skews the game too far in their favour when they are in a vendetta. Coupled with that, don protection, tapering 10% protection sub level 50, and the minimal game balance given by taking the average mob value in a vendetta, it is nigh in impossible to fight against this using legitimate tactics.
-
I say we just go back to the 10% influence rule, and make capping distance set at no less than 300 meters for all players who are able to join vendettas.
-
The balance of this game has been completely destroyed in the one and a half years that I've been here. Now, mostly due to the removal of the 10% influence rule, mules and turf limit are all that you need to win.
-
I always hated the removal of the 10% rule. At least you can combat and adapt to someone using the 10% rule. Micro mules are almost impossible to fight on a personal level without pulling a vadan and later re-investing a shit load of cash.

Yep. The 10% rule made this a strategy game. The removal of it made it a money game. That's the truth of it. It's good for nick, and some players, but for the overwhelming majority of players, it was a shitty move. Although, due to Bren guns, I think that reinstating the 10% rule would not be as effective as it was.I always hated the removal of the 10% rule. Thank you! This is a horrible tactic that unfortunately is a legitimate tactic. I have tried for a very long time to just ignore the practice & view it as I view everything else in this game. There just damn circles & I want to smash someone else's. That being said, it is very draining & frustrating to have to deal with this problem.
I have heard several suggestions for fixes that seem like they might work. Unfortunately we all know, as fast as this issue is fixed, another exploit will emerge.
Thank you Danny for bring this topic to the forefront once again & in a seemingly neutral manner. 👏👏 -
I haven't ran into any problems with people using these, but I understand the consternation involved with them. Once one person started using them the dam is broken and everyone has to use them to stay competitive.
-
👆oh yeah, what color are your circles again & am I in range of any of them? 😜

Lol and Ron I'm orange mate, haven't seen you since I kicked you from Glasgow though 😉 haha

I think you're wrong about it not being startagey based anymore. There is still startagey in using mules & low inf players. It's not enjoyable in most peoples opinions but there is def startagey still present.
As far as fixes, one of the better ones i've heard mentioned is removal of increased range when small players join a V. Regardless of your individual size, the range for all members of the group are the same, the group average. -

Yeah that was worded badly granted - it's strategic, but strategy counts for pretty much nothing when you are up against these somewhat invincible mobs UNLESS you are using one yourself.. I'm just nowhere near as active as I have been previously.

I think I have a good idea about what you are talking about, but could you explain what the problem is in more detail? I must be too small to have experienced the problem, thanks
-
I am a bit newer to the game so than you guys so I came here after all the 10% rule was removed. Could someone tell me what the 10% rule was?

Amazing how for weeks in Edi there have been several twfc low influence/low level players such as sting, arch bull on their side uncappable but no threads on it or public outcry. But as soon as the other side employs a counter strategy or dubai airport gets taken by strategy it's now a hot topic and poor form. Give me a break lol. Evolve with the game.

Hav in all honesty I haven't been involved in edi & on my mothers life this isn't a dig at anyone.. I've said BOTH sides use the accounts, no side is more to blame than the other. I haven't written TWFC are angels, nor have I wrote anything about any particular place/warzone.. I haven't even mentioned any names. I'm just sick of the way things are going.. And both sides have been using the strategy for AGES Hav it's not like it's just come into play. I haven't capped a turf in EDI for Aslong as I can remember.

You haven't been playing as long as we have and tweek certaintly hasn't gone thru major wars that last for months when the 10% rule existed so he can't speak from experience. We all hated that 10% rule it sucked even worse. God help you if it came back, can you imagine Viper at 1000 influence and 2 trillion dollars? There would be only one team left lol.

I think I saw the suggestion before of not being able to enter a v until the player is level 50. At least something along the lines of no don protection upon joining a v anyway

I have a second account. Several players know it, and it is no secret. According to ToS, we can have a second (or third or fourth or more) as long as they don't give an unfair advantage to you.
My second account is over level 15, and has ~750 mob. I use it simply to talk to people, and occasionally fight lower mobs. It does not give me an advantage in any way whatsoever, and never will do. I'm not even taxing it, though I easily could.
My alternate name is WEAPØN. Please, check it out. Some people do this, and there is nothing wrong with it.
You all know my opinion on mules and unfair gameplay though. 👊💢
-
I never went low inf under old 10% rule and only have this account. Old 10% rule and current rule both suck but both have counter strategies. If I do not know a low inf active account that's nearby I cap it before they join a v. I agree entirely with comments about TW support. They are rude, offensive and unprofessional and the most likely reason for me quitting the game. IMO I win by not adopting exploit tactics as integrity is the gift you give to yourself when no one else is looking; would be nice if others did the same. If I didn't enjoy I wouldn't play!
-
There is just no talking to some people. I've been around long enough to see the difference & I don't like it, that's all I'm saying. I'm not someone who uses those accounts. By nick telling you to basically shut up and play, would you say that he's condoning this behaviour? Turning a blind eye? Shall we all create these accounts to "WIN" ?
-
Instead of 20/20, how about 3/3? Then a 50K guy would need to mob up a mule to 17K, which is a lot of work.

How convenient. They were in twfc vendettas, fighting with twfc against twfc enemies yet they are not twfc. Class😂 -

I certainly had my fair share of fights under 10%, but you are right. None of them lasted for months. I would not fight for months. It's too expensive for me lol. But, I never was close to being broke while under it either. It became more about money management. It kept huge players in check. It was a fair balance in the game, which was removed due to the constant crying from bigger players, such as you just did. Ridiculous, but it comes with the territory. For the most part, once players get to a certain level, if something doesn't go their way, especially when it comes to game updates, they become whiny children. They truly feel that they are superior and deserve better than newer and smaller players.Danny MFC wrote:

I remember when the plan to remove the rule was announced. Everyone with big mobs at the time creamed themselves silly, well, except for Belial. He somehow convinced himself that it was a negative thing for big players.
-
The only thing that it changed at all, is that now big players truly cannot lose unless they are complete idiots. When you are constantly making over 50 million an hour for a long period of time, there is nothing that can be done to you.
