Any other cachers out there? Tell me some stories. Ever been caught by Muggles? Favorite cache? Your least favorite/hardest cache? I cant be the only geocacher here!!!

My scout troop hid one in a rotten tree :D

I used to cache all the time with a few friends. We called ourselves club midnight. My favorite is now archived called pray for daylight here in Erie pa. It was in a storm sewer system. Been harassed by cops numerous times and had some cache I planted muggled

My favorite cache has also been archived. It was called the River, guess what I fell in getting it!

I love geocaching. Two years ago, I was camping and found an ammo box tucked under a rock and had no idea what it was. I opened it up and it explained the game and the website and I've been playing ever since.

For me the most difficult to find was hidden inside of a hollowed out, 3/4 inch bolt that was part of a bridge. Now I prefer the more tradition caches.

Im a prepper so stashin caches is the norm for me. Look up a product called mono vault burial tubes. They kick ass👍

I used to geocache. I quit like a year ago. But one of the last things I found was a broken vibrator.
-
I used to constantly, then I found turf wars.
Don't get out much now, but I've got about a dozen of my own out there that I still take care of.
-
I've tried it before. It's not that fun in 103 degree humidity..Traveling through poison oak...

Think of a giant scavenger hunt. To put it in the barest of terms, think of it as using multi billion dollar government technology to find ammo cans hidden in the woods.Whats is it??

So, to you geocachers, who else has found a travelbug? And where did you drop it? I found mine in Brockton, NY and dropped it in Roanoke, VA. Of course, this was about 5 years ago.

There's some here in WV.

If you enjoy caching, try Letterboxing! Basically the same thing, but not high tech... You actually have to follow clues! My sons cub scout pack has hidden 2 caches... Sadly, we missed both outings.
-
I'm actually caching now. Took my mom to her chiropractic, and there's suppose to be a cache in the area. Second time looking for it. I think it was tampered with by muggles though. ):

My hardest cache was a container that looked liked a rock.

I've done a little geocaching and letter boxing a few years ago. I'm hoping to start doing more.

I've done geocaching. I've actually done some pretty harsh stuff while geocaching. Like the time these 2 girls (who didn't know what 'cache' meant, let alone geocaching) told me about a "secret" stash their friend had hidden, expecting them to find it. I found it first, and inside was a shitton of weed and heroin (heroin is a major issue where I am). I reported it to the police, told 'em where it was, and the two girls were arrested. Talk about a bad day.

Only just found out about geocaching from this thread. Signed up at the geocache site and there are a few in my area, quite surprised to say the least.
Going to give it a go tomorrow if I get any spare time.
