So I'm in the process of settling into a new place with a massive amount of book shelve space. To fill that space I am in the market for rare books/grimores/novels/binders/texts to fill the remaining shelve space.
That's why I'm making the thread! I hope some of you could suggest some books for me to add to the collection. At the end I'm gonna take pics and post them on palringo to show whose suggestions I fancied!
I'm into
-graphic novels
-sci fi -
-occult
-ufology
-paranormal
-rare books
-first editions
-religious
-sacred
-etc etc etc.Just suggest interesting and rare stuff please! I'm counting on you!
Links would be appreciated!

But if you find any other rare "Asamov" (kinda forgot the spelling), let me know! I'm seriously looking to start a real collection of these kinda novels. But after scouring local used book stores, I haven't found anything that worthwhile.

Under occult, have you thought about the necronimicon? Or chariots of the gods? I have knowledge in egyptology and archaeology so a few occult books could help satisfy your needs!!!!

Anything by Robert A Heinlein fits into golden age Sci-Fi.
Gets a little out there with Number of the Beast, but Stranger in a Strange Land won the Nebula award.

Big thumbs up! Check out the great Jack Vance. The 5 Demon Princes make fantastic reading. Classic revenge- based books. You will never regret reading these my friend. You will bless the day you read them. Cannot speak highly enough of this series. In fact, anything by Jack Vance. F.Pohl's Gateway series also (4 books). Stephen Donaldson's dark gap series ( 5 books and he wrote The Covenant series- amazing!).Anything by Robert A Heinlein fits into golden age Sci-Fi.

M.Peake's Gormenghast also ranks highly.(3 in the series). -
A Prayer for Owen Meany by John Irving.

The Giver's good, too. And The Once And Future King.
And I'm sure you already have The Hunger Games and Harry Potter; those are essential to any collection... -
Damnit... There's a sci fi author I'm failing to remember..... He's still alive. He writes a lot about the Internet. Coined quite a few phrases describing Internet culture. Also included cybernetics, "grid/matirces", online universes, etc.... He's under the radar, but incredibly elite in sci fi circles... Moderately mainstream if you know your shit... Can't remember the name!!!

Patrick O' Brian's Ship series. The twenty and a half books had me using curses from two hundred years ago, and learnt a lot about sailing. Historical novels that are unputdownable. Shame life is so short. I have retread this series twice and wish to read yet again! As well as countless others. Love to re-read favourites.
I, myself, have my own private library where I love to be; in fact, it's where I paint so all books are paint stained, but they are mine. I hid 600 euro in a book about 4 years ago and still haven't found it! An excuse not to loan out books. I'll find it one day hopefully....with interest! Lol
I have mostly history and art but many many other genres. Leafing through books and frowning when you realize how much you have forgotten is a common occurrence.

Rats. Took 6000+ pristine books to goodwill/salvation army in MN last fall (losing lots of shelf space due to moving). Kept my sci fi and all our first editions and 'antique' books though. Odds and ends that I like...the Odd Thomas series, any Steven Gould book except ones he co-wrote with wife (she is a bit on the Eco extremist side), hammerfall, lucifers hammer, river world series, repair manuals for any of my cars, boats, motorcycles :)
