Brown Life- your life may mean zero buy to me, my family and my friends my life means the world. Sure in the scale of the universe we are super tiny and may not matter much to it, but what does that matter? I don't care what the universe is doing, I care about my surroundings and what others are doing around me. And even if there is a world war 3, life won't be completely wiped out on earth. All life needs is an inch, an inch that fights for survival an inch that will continue to live on. The only way life on earth will die is when our sun dies.

The bible is full of fairy tales and lies. Don't put any weight to what it says. It's all an attempt to gain power and control of people.

I would like to tell everyone that the Aztecs said the world would end in December 2012 thousands of years ago. In those thousands of years there has been something called leap years. Also think about how the world is supposed to end right before one of the major christain holidays (Christmas). Just for something for all of you non- believers to thunk about!

Wasn't the world suppose to end on June 6th 2006? See how that worked for da Vinci...

Most all Atheists (assuming you are one)(and only the ones I've come across) always ridicule Christians for being self righteous assholes, but then go and instead of being something like " hey you get your religious beliefs I get mine, to each their own" they ridicule our religious book and call it a fairy tale. -

Aw fluffy that's so sad, my heart is crushed. :) FYI it is full of plagiarized stories from other cultures, then rewritten to fit a certain group of people. If you believe any of it to be true, that is utterly sad my friend. And I believe and care about truth, not some crazy beliefs or faith. We are in the 21st century, catch up with the times get out of the past.

The world will end when I want it to. As long as you keep me happy, I won't destroy the world, and then when I'm dead you can all find a new world threat. :)

It's just a bunch of astronomical symbols lol nothing to be afraid of ladies and gents. Some things will happen like possible pole shifting, will will be aligned with center of the milky way, some stars will align and yet we will live on.

I agree with Brown we aren't anything but a tiny speck in this universe. We don't mean anything to anyone or thing that may be out there nor do we care. Heck we don't even know if anything else exists. It wouldn't matter to us if they got wiped out and vice versa.

The Mayans didn't need leap years, they based their calendar on the solar cycles which accounts for equinoxes and solstices. So their calendar is right on schedule. But to answer the question, I don't think the end of the world is this year

I doubt it will end in December, but we don't really know for sure, do we? Besides, there's nothing we can do to stop it. Why bother panicking over something we can't control?
