Someone said it before... Sounds like two transformers having MAD SEX!

If you think it takes no talent then try to do it yourself. It is amazing what those guys do.
-
Dubstep is big?

It's not hard to make dubstep. I've made quite a few share of dubstep melody's myself. Get a good audio / music developing program an you're set.
-
its not bad plus when the base drops it make you whna do crazy s**** 👍👍
-
It's not hard to make dubstep, but it's hard to make GOOD dubstep.
-
I enjoy a bit of Dubstep...When it sounds like a melody and DOESN'T sound like R2-D2 and C3PO throwing up on each other. So...Only certain bits of Dubstep. I go with UKF Dubstep for most songs.
-
Skrilix hurts my head, Daftpunk makes me feel like wearing a futeristic helmit and dance, and Deadmous5 makes me want cheese.

No way. Dubstep is the evolution of techno. You think it is big here? It is 10x bigger in Europe. It is going to be around for a while.Dubstep is pretty shitty. It'll be gone in 12 months

I agree absolutely. Dubstep is tweenager shit. It's shelf life is limited. I like techno, electronica, and other low quality crap, but I can't even listen to that manure. Crystal Method, Daft Punk, hell even Mint Royale. And i listen to a huge swath of everything-but-country... All fine to me. But that crap is crap.

I don't understand why these people have such a hatred for something they won't even listen to. Try Drowned City or Midnight Request Line. It'll show you dubstep beyond shitty brostep. *cough skrillex cough*
-
What makes it Dubstep, and not some other existing genre? What is unique about it, other than a not-too-catchy thub-thub-thub-tha-thub-thub?
That's the difference to me... The defining characteristic is a contemporary hip-hop fusion with techno it seems.
It just isn't catchy to me.

Sounds like a Jason Statham film all up in here!
Psh.

Dubstep...
Its not that bad( in certain cases that is)
Im very open minded when it comes to music. Classical, techno, hard rock, whatever music is playing, i always try to give any genre a chance. When i first heared a dubstep song, i went like wtf??Imo dubstep is like what new beat/techno was back in the days. Peeps saying it wouldnt last long, while in the end it became one of the "big styles" if you know what i mean.
Ps, i want to go back to the early 90's. Those were the days when all this techno, acid, rave stuff were making teens go crazy in pubs. (unfortunatly, those were the days when xtc and other stuff started to make their way to the big public).
In the end i dont mind dubstep, but ill rather pass a dubstep night in a club, and go watch a good live show of Slayer or soulfly.
(obituary anyone? 😜) -

Your argument is a logical fallacy. Just because there are doubters for every genre, doesn't men that they are wrong every time. Some genres are dead. Those particular critics happened to be right.
This genre will survive only if the quality somehow improves, (which it may).
But as it stands now, this music will have no staying power. It's like break dancing music. Some people said it would never last. Bingo.
Herbie Handcock sells fewer albums than Fleetwood Mac. Like, by a lot. Sometimes, there's just no way to get to the level of "classic" when shitty music ages.
Jam on it.
