Hey everyone,
Here's a summary of what vendettas are and how they will affect the gameplay.What are vendettas? Vendettas let smaller players to pool their resources so they can compete with the big guys in their city, increasing both their defensive power and offensive power. If a player is being hassled by a bigger player, they can appeal to other mobsters in the area and get immediate help. On the other side, an ambitious player can team up with their neighbors to take on the city capo for their title and wealth. Vendettas take high-level combat from a mob and weapons numbers game to a full-fledged strategic WAR!
How Vendettas Work: Any player can create a Vendetta against another player and group of players who are above level 25. They can then invite other players to join their Vendetta to boost its power and chances of winning against the targets. Unlike mob, the founder must be careful whom they pick - it matters who participates in your Vendetta.
Combat With Vendettas all members attack simultaneously – pooling their mob and weapons increases their chance of winning and all members share equally in the spoils of victory. It's important that the Vendetta's members are local, since players can only attack within a certain distance. If the Vendetta captures a target's turf, the turf is destroyed and its value distributed among the Vendetta's members.
Vendettas aren't alliances One key difference between Vendettas and the standard alliance found in MMOs is Vendettas are targeted - they allow a group of players to focus their power on a small group of players, at the expense of their performance against everyone else. Members of a Vendetta suffer a defensive penalty against all other players in the game. The prevents a group of players from pooling their resources to fully dominate a city, as the bigger players get, the more they risk getting hammered by the defense penalty.

How local do they need to be? Just local enough so that each member is in range of the target? Like, statewide is okay?

If someone puts a vendetta out can they only take one turf. I understand they take a defense hit, but will this penatly be big enough that it would deter ppl from taking all or half of someone's turf?

- what is the distance limitation for an attacking vendetta?
- must u be below level 25 to be in a vendetta?
- so a player with 1000 mob at level 24 can be in a vendetta and attack a player that has 300 mob members and is at level 26?Thanks.

- the distance is the same as single player combat (currently 1000km/600mi)
- you must be over level 25 to participate, though this may change in the future! -

There's no limit to the number of turfs that can be "captured" (vendettas destroy turf instead of capturing).

YES - vendettas aren't intended to be long term. They're there so you can get some extra power to protect you from a guy who's trashing your turfs, or if you wanna take out a bigger guy's turf.

Yes - you'll see it mentioned in your News feed, and it'll show up when you're attacking too.

Oh, another question..... how many times can you hit them... is it the stamina number of all of your members of the vendetta combined????

It depends on their available stamina. Let's say you and your buddy are attacking someone, and you have 5 stamina available and they have 2. They'll participate in the first 2 fights, but after that you're on your own.
In general, your vendetta members will fight with you as long as:
- they're within 1000 miles (1600km)
- they have enough stamina
- they aren't in the emergency roomPS I said in my response to patsy the distance was 1000km (600mi) - it's actually 1000mi, sorry for the confusion.

Can larger players form defenive "vendettas" r large group vs large group?
Will there be an option for a defensive alliance. I.e no advantage during attack, but an agreement to pool resources for defence? Like the opposite of a vendetta but defending against multiple players. It could have the side effect of lowering your attack?

Yes - you can invite 2 other players to join your vendetta, and target up to 3 players. You can add targets at any time, but they can't be removed without disbanding the vendetta.
There's kind of an interesting dynamic that happens when both players are involved in vendettas:
Primary attacker (the player who's initiating the attack): vendetta used if the primary defender is a target
Primary defender (the player who's turf or self is attacked) : vendetta used if any of the attacking players are targeted by the defender's vendetta

It seems everyone is all of a sudden viable to being targetted! But I am also curious as to how much the defensive penalty will be for the attacker. Could become a double-edged sword. Looking forward to it!

Why is there a 1000mile limit anyway? Why not be able to help out coast to coast or worldwide?

Two questions.
1. Can you be in a Vendetta and still attack by yourself (You want to capture a turf instead of destroy it but don't want to leave the vendetta just for that one turf).
2. Can you still use your TURF LOCATION instead of just personal locations to attack within a Vendetta?

1- If u aint got no turf near the turf u want to attack can u still destroy it ?
2- u mentionned beta test but will the turf we destroy will be permanent or its just a test

Will it cost a substantial ammount of cash? Or would you just press 'create a vendetta' and have one that others can join?

When you fight, do you acually use up there stamina? As in do they lose stamina as well?
