Hey there TW community,
I wanted to get a survey out there to see how many of you have jail broken you devices, and how many of you think it is worth it. So, how many of you are jail broken? Is it worth it? Anyone who did jailbreak but got sick of it? Your oppinions are much appreciated. -
Jailbroken and love it
-
Nope. Haven't.
-
I am jailbroke. I lobe the concenience of customizIng controls and settings the way i want. I only do system tweaks though to make my device easier to use. For me these things are well worth it.

No jailbreak for me. Don't particularly care to either.

Heres my take. If you have 5.0.1 its worth giving it a try. If you dont loke it just restore or dfu and it wont be a problem going back. If you have 5.1 you may want to wait till theres an ubtethered version.
-
There's so many cool tools for jailbreak
-
I've kept 4.3.3.
Most stable update w/JB so far, plus battery life is amazing without iOS 5. -

Waiting for an untethered version for 5.1 the wait is agonizing. I hate not having my phone jail broken.

I enjoyed the customization of a jail broken phone, but it killed my battery and made it very unstable. I eventually restored it.

You have to learn which customizations kill the battery and how to keep your device stable. Ive had very little trouble in the year and a half since i did my first jailbreak. One rule is major themes destroy batteries. So try to keep theming to a minimum. I dont run one anymore. If you run into instability theres some trpible shooting you can do to find out whats causing it.I enjoyed the customization of a jail broken phone, but it killed my battery and made it very unstable. How to trouble shoot a unstable jail broken device: uninstall mobile substrate. This will disable all tweaks. Reinstall one tweak, this will reinstall mobile substrate. Check device for stability. Rinse and repeat until you find all the tweaks that were causing instability or youre stabile with enough that satisfies you.

I used a lot of themes. Never would have guessed it was them that was killing my battery. Thanks!!

I love the obsidian theme. Looms awesome but cuts my battery in half. As is i lose maybe 10% at most battery power. Totally tolerableI used a lot of themes. Never would have guessed it was them that was killing my battery. Thanks!!

I'm thinking about downgrading to 4.3.5 to get a more established jailbreak.

Question: whenever I try to download a package from Cydia, I get an error message that goes something along the lines of "Could not locate [insert random file name here]. You may need to manually fix the package.
How do I fix it?
