I find it difficult to teach about Anzac day. We had a ceremony at school yesterday and I was so angry at the students that were talking and laughing. I understand that it is sometimes hard for young people to know the importance of the day because they find they can't relate to it but it's an important day in history. I find it interesting that it was Australias first war after federation. I hope I got that right. My partner and I plan to go to Gallipoli for the 100 year anniversary if we can get the time off.

Are you serious? Did u not know the impact the war had on the home front as well? Us women kicked arse! We ran the houses and paid the bills! Naturally it's a must these days but with the men away women were able to do jobs that had traditionally been seen as a mans role. Of course, relationships were strained when the men came back because they were never the same again. Medicine was not that great back then and many had amputations.💹Ǥȑععɳϻąή×ῤђįƖҽ wrote:
