What I think the point of this war is the same as World War 2, To contain the threat from tacking over or moving too far. So taking the pictures dosent help. That is my opinion.rojo2017 wrote:
Then we get to take more pictures. It's war and they aren't over there to make peace with alqueda and congratulate them on their successes.✯МяΛиоиγмоυs✯ wrote:

They (alqueda) flew airliners into the twin towers and took American lives. I think that taking a picture with em and smiling is the least we can do 🇺🇸I get that they're in combat but every soldier needs to realize that they represent the United States. It's these antics that world hears about.

The real problem is the media and the way it overplays every case of US or allied soldiers behaving in an undisciplined manner. At the same time underreporting the heinous acts our enemies engage in on a routine bases. Such activities as using children, mentally ill, mentally handicapped as suicide bombers. They also behead civilians, reporters and any of our service members they capture. The media doesn't report on these events normally saying they won't show the pictures or report on it because they don't want to inflame public opinion.
Yet at the first inidication a US or allied service member displays undisciplined behavior the media fall over themselves reporting the incident.
As a paratrooper and veteran of the 82nd airborne I am disappointed in the behavior those young paratroopers displayed. I just wish the media would report the atrocities committed by our enemy as vigorously as they report any misstep our soldiers make.

There are over 109 verses in Quran that call Muslims to violence (IN THIS LIFE). You won't find 1 verse in the new testament to call Christians to violence for not believing. give me one. Just one that calls them to violence in this life, on earth. One? To say "hell" well if you don't believe in hell what does that matter then? You can find the same in the holy bible and yet it is considered a book of peace.

Think about it, every thing about the early church, the new testament authors make Jesus out to be a pacifist on earth.

Walrus Breath, I never thought of it that way. My Grandfather was also in the 82nd Airborn, during the Cold War.

What culture was it that would impale the heads of all their enemies on a path that they knew the army would take next, when the army walked the path to go fight against them they saw all their family etc conquered and dead. It killed their morale and they gave up. I'm not saying modern times that would be against the Geneva conventions but psychological warfare does use techniques to kill the morale of the enemy so they will lose the will to fight.Amish Hitman wrote:

Lack of anything calling upon violence, the bible says love your enemy. -

Jews also, Deuteronomy is what an intelligent person would try to use, but it is not war for their "unbelief" if you looked at the various wars in the Torah you would also see contextually they don't call them to arms to destroy them if they don't convert to Judaism.Sammy Guns🔫🌊🗻 wrote:

We are getting off topic. My point though, whether WE look at it like its a holy war, THEY will ALWAYS look at it that it's a holy war it doesn't matter if we burn their Quran or not the people fighting that is how they view it. It's ignorant liberal hippies that can't see the history of Islam and violence, can't easily read the Quran for themselves and realize these people are doing EXACTLY what the Quran says to do, and they will continue. So you can arrogantly say "oh it's so wrong that soldier made it seem like a holy war by doing that! Oh how horrid!" but you know what? The reality is that is already how they believe and feel.

As for the media. Don't rely on the networks, or newspapers. They only report what they believe will increase ratings (advertising income) or sales (more advertising income).
Anything that they do not believe will increase income they will not report on.
In otherwords noone is surprised or outraged when the Taliban stones a girl to death because she was raped. No ratings jump or increase in sales=no reporting. But people are surprised and outraged when a US soldier desecrates a dead enemy's body. Ratings surge, more papers sold, increased profits= nonstop reporting.

Not only should they take pictures and smile, they should sell bone fragments on eBay! Anyone that doesn't stand behind our troops should be obliged to stand in front of them!Jesus died for your sins, the American soldier dies for our freedom!
Never miss the opportunity to thank a soldier!🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸

I wish Rojo and all you others could go serve over there for back to back deployments. Or go on a deployment and think its almost over and get extended.

I couldn't agree more. As far as I'm concerned, if they take up arms against our soldiers, after what al qaeda did to us, they deserve whatever they get.It is WAR not boy scouts, no one knows the mental stresses they deal with and how they deal with them , however morbid it maybe. And another thing do they give a shit what they do to us soldiers hell no. WAR! WAR! WAR!
Lets see a noncombatant reporter is beheaded on the internet by these assholes and it's no big deal, some books are burned , it's a big deal , not mention 6 american soldiers killed in retribution for books being burned and its no big deal. Bullshit 😚💦 I love my country, I love our soldiers , war brings out the inhumanity to man , but if it's done to American soldiers we ate supposed to grin and bare it , but if it happens to the enemy "during war" the Americans are the bad guys, when they are doing the same shit . It is absurd!

I read the earlier post in here of the guy going in detail of what the soldiers were doing posing with the bodies and the zombie hunter thing to my gf. She laughed her ass off.

I'm glad she's not as sensitive as some of you men in here.

But my comment about pissing on the dead terrorists may have been out of line like I said. It might have been much.

One last thing, biblically when Jesus was asked what the most importnant commandment was , he said and I qoute " love one another" he also stated in regards to those who crucified him " forgive them father for they know not what they do" end rant

If there be found among you, within any of thy gates which the LORD thy God giveth thee, man or woman, that hath wrought wickedness in the sight of the LORD thy God, in transgressing his covenant; 17:3 And hath gone and served other gods, and worshipped them, either the sun, or moon, or any of the host of heaven, which I have not commanded; 17:4 And it be told thee, and thou hast heard of it, and enquired diligently, and, behold, it be true, and the thing certain, that such abomination is wrought in Israel; 17:5 Then shalt thou bring forth that man or that woman, which have committed that wicked thing, unto thy gates, even that man or that woman, and shalt stone them with stones, till they die.
Sorry I haven't had the chance to get back on

Deuteronomy 13:7-12
-
"If thy brother, the son of thy mother, or thy son, or thy daughter, or the wife of thy bosom, or thy friend, which is as thine own soul, entice thee secretly, saying, Let us go and serve other gods, which thou hast not known, thou, nor thy fathers; Namely, of the gods of the people which are round about you ... Thou shalt not consent unto him, nor hearken unto him; neither shall thine eye pity him, neither shalt thou spare, neither shalt thou conceal him: But thou shalt surely kill him; thine hand shall be first upon him to put him to death, and afterwards the hand of all the people. And thou shalt stone him with stones, that he die." -- Dt.13:6-10
