As for Atlantis I think the ideas of an ancient civilization like it are very probable. But I think of it as more of a global civilization than an island that sunk and was simply forgotten.
Every culture has a flood myth, which leads one to conclude that there was a global disaster that destroyed most of the evidence which could prove of this global civilization's existence.

It sounds strange but I wouldn't mind a version of id4 so at least it's out in the open and we know we are fucked

Minoan eh? I remember a lot of their volcano and bull mythology, but only recall other Crete and Greek ancient myths. Did it mention a city called "Knossis"?💚ǤƦєɛɲՊɑɳҳ℘ℎıƖҽ wrote:

Why? That would suck. It's more probable people would instantly lose their minds and we'd destroy ourselves, than be rational and band together to attempt to change a scenario which doom is almost certain. Don't ever trust a stranger to do the right thing. Maybe a normal, limited, ignorance is more humane than just causing us to eat each other. It sounds strange but I wouldn't mind a version of id4 so at least it's out in the open and we know we are fucked

I once met a man who told me this far fetched idea: Following the idea of reverse psychology coupled with the brainwashing effect that mass media has on a population (i.e. the internet and the persuasive arguments of shows like "Ancient Aliens"). The world governments are actually manipulating us into believe in aliens. Why you ask? So they can lay the groundwork for a percieved global enemy... "Them". (continued...)
-
Therefore, causing a need for "global security" and unifying all nations under martial law and in doing so nullifying each countries sovereignty and creating the dreaded "One World Government". This man also went on to say "seems to me that all of these so called "mass sightings" are a contrived attempt to distract a guilible population from what is really going on. He then elaborated with the statement "I mean if "They" would be so bold as to fly their mother ship over Mexico City or Moscow or Pheonix. Then why wouldn't they just land their damn ship and formally announce their presence?" to which he added "metaphorically speaking of course". At which point I woke up on the floor with my pants on backwards and was the last time I'll EVER take more than the recommended dosage of Robotussin no matter how high my fever is.

I normally walk away intill I am back into a corner then strike back I think I have been very lucky in that I haven't had a fight since school

Well I'm getting at the fact that we don't always act on what we've done in he past. Actually our instincts and impulses have even changed. Early humans used to begin running away from something if started. Humans now just flinch and gauge the situation and often react after a moments notice. Same with anger. Get mad at something. Attempt to kill it if it matches you. Now if someone pisses you off and your first usually instinct is to consider the person an asshole, and maybe consider telling other people in hopes of changing their opinions.
Majority of people in western culture frown on direct violence if they feasibly could experience it themselves, or are near the event.
-
Yes I'm not denying the fact impulses have changed over the years, but me personally I disable the person threatening me and walk away
-
Civilization and society is directly changing our human nature because of the environment it's created.

The Nomad wrote:
But your saying that we WILL destroy ourselves. Yet you just said disable and not eliminate a person threatening you. Human nature isn't totally destructive because we don't want to destroy anymore. Its become a nature of avoiding destruction until we feel we have to. Human nature is now trumped by consideration.Yes I'm not denying the fact impulses have changed over the years, but me personally I disable the person threatening me and walk away

I'm just trying to lay out that it's a possibility we could destroy ourselves. However we almost have done this quite a few times. Yet we haven't acted based on something that has become more important to our species than our nature. Our ideals and priorities have evolved. Hense we are still here, and counting on seeing new progress tomorrow.
I'm trying to just remind you nomad that the very fact that you have no idea if I might have control of whether or not I push the big red button and end it all someday in the future, and since I simply wouldn't press it even if it meant I wouldn't be avenged for what the other guy does, your use of the word WILL is not correct.
Hopefully you will remember that if you ever are holding your finger on that button.

Oh and Rizza! Look up "project blue beam", INTELLIPRO, society of fear.... And...... Can't think of it. I'll get back to you

In the 1990s it came to light that soldiers from the 4th Psychological Operations Group had been interning at the American news networks Cable News Network (CNN) and National Public Radio (NPR). The program was an attempt to provide its PSYOP personnel with the expertise developed by the private sector under its "Training with Industry" program. The program caused concern about the influence these soldiers might have on American news and the programs were terminated.
National Public Radio reported on April 10, 2000:
The U.S. Army's Psychological Operations unit placed interns at CNN and NPR in 1998 and 1999. The placements at CNN were reported in the European press in February of this year and the program was terminated. The NPR placements will be reported this week in TV Guide. So the CIA HAS had operations to control the mass media. So that part of the guys story is true.
