I'm really glad to hear Sky's doing better! I'll keep you guys in my prayers. You are a wonderful friend, Sherry! Try to get some rest when you can. Idk if you are staying with her in the hospital, but I know how hard it is to get any sleep there, whether you are the patient or the one staying with them!
I'd love to hear some more funny stories; the Ding Dong one made me laugh. I've always been a fan of Ding Dongs.

Night crew! Keep the positive intentions, thoughts and ๐๐๐ going!!!
Keep the good news coming. -
Still sending my best wishes this will be a long hard road ๐
My mom said her entire church prayed for Sky, It makes me feel bad that my mom asked me her last name and I didn't know (I'll have to ask B he probably knows)... But god knows who she is ๐
I hope she keeps getting better ๐

Ok I'm tired but got this done lol
Hey all, Sara is seizing even through the pheno so we are switching that. She has seemed to fight against the vent a couple times and the anestesiologist said we might be going too fast so we will stay level today. We are using as little med as possible, that means no pain meds. I have asked about that and was told we need her awake. And the neuro who I truly trust told me the spikes in her brain waves wwhen she seems agitated sugests to HIM the pain she feels comes and goes. Her bloodwork came back even better with wbc over 4, and platelets remaining stable. We can give her bags of blood products if needed if we decide to go forward with chemo. The ideal tho obviously is for her not to bleed. So today is a watch day and if everything is still stable tomorrow we will re-visit the chemo question. Thanks to all of ya!

Goddess thank you and your mother!! I'm keeping Sara's last name out for legal purposes. But like you said, your God knows and angels speak her name in the Throne Room.
As for a funny story, she is a photographer and when she lost her hair last time she placed her face on a cue ball on a pool table as her sig pic. Too funny. We painted butterflies all over her head.
We remember The family here dealing with childhood leukemia, as well.
Blessed Be,
Sherry -

Mystery, a funny
You have to visualize......
At oncology, there is a semi-circle of chemo recliners facing a tv. Playing on the tv was spongebob. These people were all bald, in pj's and had a blanket. They had all been encouraged to bring something from home for comfort. They all brought stuffed animals, including the 6'4" guy. Oh, and juice bottles had ben given.
Sara groggy but still woke up and yelled out " holy hell! We look like a demented daycare in Hell!"
Had ta be there -

Sara is awake. They are going to unvent her in a few min. There is minimal recognition like she sees you but can't remember your name. If ya all can help spread the word to her page abd Belial's threads I would appreciate this. I'm going to be very busy today ๐๐๐๐๐๐

Fingers crossed all goes smoothly. Glad to hear this much improvement in such a short time.

Keep up the positive thoughts...I went through this with my wife last year as her liver failed coupled with a broken back and broken hip. Got very wearing sitting beside her bed for almost 5 months with her screaming in pain (pain killers don't work well when your liver can't process them), dealing with her as she suffered from extreme confusion, watching her waste away, and then dealing with several comas before getting a transplant literally with no time left.
It is absolutely amazing how the body recovers, though, so if she is a fighter and it sounds like she is then keep her plugging away...and remember there is a mental recovery process you both will likely go through as well...and even a physical one for the caregiver if you eat as much at the hospital cafeteria as I did :)
One tip. Not sure if it applies in this case, but I brought our poodle in several times to lick my wife's face until she came out of her coma...worked twice. Amazing what hospitals will let you do when things get desperate.

Thanks all so greatful. I will still update but I want to be there whatever they are doing. Family is here now tho. And she still slips deeply to sleep. Still waiting for that 1st recognition. Kinda scary. She hasnt said anything but has screamed a couple times and knocked over her food tray but I think that was cause the nurse was doing it and she was afraid of her. They are going to put a gastric tube in today under twilite for nutrition. And try a bit of therapy. Yesterday was exhausting for everybody so today it will be recognition and we will bring in a few people, and also get her to speak. -
Best wishes sky!!!

Sara, we are all pulling for you! Sherry, thank you for being such an amazing friend!

Thanks for the update and I reckon her first words will be(
"what the hell did I drink last night??"
-
Hyena! Bahahaha so far that wins!

Update?? How she doing? Still sending positive thoughts๐.

Her pt has to go slow due to the heart damage, but she is so righteously indignant if somebody tries to tell her ok its time to stop. I've gone to sitting back a bit and watching these situations til the tech really needs help. Again, good for both, and its just so damn funny. Sara has sttarted memories, she knows when to expect the plate to look at, and she knows when it is my story time with her. I read her your well wishes among other stuff so please keep on!
And still collecting what you think will be Sara's 1st words will be๐๐
And always, we pray for Wisdom, Fatal Attraction and their daughter(hope I got those names right)
Blessed Be!

Ok doin this in 2 parts. Grrrrr
Hey there๐Chemo went well, I have decided to let the hospital do the therapy. I tried but it hurts her and I am not effective. She is doing well with blocks and colors. Matching. She still hasn't said anything but looks at me sorta funny so I think things are coming back but she may not understand what has happened. Stil using the feeding tube cause she just looks at a plate. There are 2 nurses she has decided are good enough to come close to her to do things like check her vitals. Remember Sara means Princess, and right now its coming out so much, i can't stop the giggles. We are having daily EEGs and have seen Sara has had several partial seizures too. CT scan has shown drs where the damage is clustered.
