but it's not the same kind of work. Before it took a little bit of knowhow with the effort. Now it just blond constant punching with no end in sight. Two hours Charlie and I barely hit the 1/3 mark.
No, it's not the same kind of work. My point is that IS still work though. And those that are willing to do it will reap the rewards. The hindrances are the same for everyone. I've only typed one new code so far, but I imagine my results will be similair to yours. AS will everyone else.

The point is haven't we paid our dues? I've done the whole typing in hundreds of codes a day. Why should I have to go thru it all again? I'm still only about a third dome after alst 3 constant hours punching. Guess I'm not getting any sleep tonight

Dude, you sound like you're being singled out for punishment.
The noobs are doing the same thinge we did, just backwards. They still have to go back and punch the 5-6000 codes already on the sites. And they are going to get what...MAYBE a 60% return on those efforts? That means they have to work THAT MUCH HARDER hunting codes down on the map, spamming, going back through the invite forum....
Us vets HAVE paid our dues and we have literally 1000s of mob the noobs will NEVER have.
-
Grats on the sites implamenting this. I can't see it ATM because I am camping but will check on it in 3 days.
As for the comments, I don't get how everyone is complaining that it will just make mobbing faster and easier for everyone and requires no work in mobbing BUT at the same time complain saying it's hard to type out the codes haha. Just saying ;)

And if this system were not to be implemented, you would still be typing codes every day. Not 100's, but guess what, the noobs would still be typing hundred of codes a day. Every day. They will never know what it was like to have to only punch a couple dozen codes a day.
It's just the nature of the beast. The game is growing. Grow with it, or move on.

Y'all need to stop being wushu washy. Acting like a bunch of.. Hmmm republicans? Democrats? Nahh greenparty!

In looking at the list, its nearly 700 codes over a span of 7 days. Thats less than 100 codes a day. Matrix has been growing by about 50-70 codes a day, so the increase is really negligible.

it may be tile to do just that. I can't compete anymore. That much is evident. With having a job I can't afford the 6+ hours a day this is going to take now. The codes have a 7 day expiry. You're a third of the way through? Stop.
Start again tomorrow. Get to where you are three days ahead. Then do one day's worth of codes a day plus ten from the following day.
Or set a goal of 100/day. Either way, you will still be ahead of the game and it won't be as bad as you think.

The key objective of this update is to make it easier for new guys to get a head start and get more involved in Turf Wars. It also takes some of the hard work out of punching codes for everyone else - here's a list of guaranteed valid codes that are not in your mob. Some of the new players on the list won't respond to your invite - that's to be expected with any product as newer users are more likely to quit in the beginning.
You'll probably spend more time punching codes vs searching for them, but then again aren't the codes the reason you were spending all that time searching in the first place?
Good feedback on the temp invite codes' format - we'll look into changing the format to something easier to input, maybe a format like -000-000.
-
Maybe it won't be so bad. I'm up to the codes that expire by Sunday. If I spend a couple more hours it mite seem halfway doable

all numbers would be good o think Nick. Or letters with numbers at the end. I think the change is bound to help with new player retention. Maybe they'll be less likely to quit right away if they've already got a leg up on mob-adding.
-
Anything that prevents the back and forth and I'm 100% for the new system.
For those that think were are crying too much please try to understand we've put a lot of code punching in and any change to the system is gonna not sit well with everyone. But that's life. Again all for the new system just not for the new code style. It literaly is a pain to keep reaching for that damn "123" button with my giant hands lol.

I agree. I sti think this will make it harder for us to stay on top tho. I don't feel we should have to put up with having to race so hard all over again. But in going to give it a shot and as long as I don't get bumped down I'll stay.I think the change is bound to help with new player retention. What was going rate to pay kids to punch codes in again?
-
Here is a better thought.
1 beer for every 50 codes.
700 codes to hit in one night.

Imo I hate it. I punched code for quite a while before throwing in the towel. I think if you choose to keep up on codes there wont be time to play the actual game (or have a life). I may quit and start Farmville ...
-
Sorry if this has been covered but I will ask nonetheless. I understand the codes expire but if we punch them while they are active and the noob doesn't accept within the time
frame, what happens? Can the invite be accepted after it's expired. Hope so!Also +1 for changing code format. Current format is terrible!

It elliminates the need for the invite forum and totally destroys players without a computer. Making mobbing too easy and further strengening the spreadsheet.
