I feel....nothing.

I don't know why I'm here, and I'll probably regret this later on. But I just need to get this off my chest. in the last few weeks, life's been really hard for me. Well it's hard to explain. I think I'm happy, but I don't feel happy... It's been bugging me lately, because I'm starting to finally see who I am. And I don't like what I'm seeing. At times I scare myself, and get thoughts, that any "normal" person wouldn't have. It haunts me every day, and every night. I hear voices in my head... well not a voice, more like this thought that you don't want to see, but it keeps appearing in your head, and you can't get it out. I can't explain these thoughts to you, because you wouldn't understand them, and hate me for even thinking of something like that. I don't know what's wrong with me, so I call it a "mental disease", but I can't think of anything that describes what I'm going through. I'm not depressed, because "depression" is a feeling.

I'm not sad, or happy. Have I considered suicide? Once or twice, but I won't do it. I'm not asking for advice... I just want to say that at times, the community is the only thing that makes me want to get up in the morning....

No Raymond!!!! We will get through this together!!!

Same thing with me.

I know exactly how you feel fat ray. I'm going through a similar situation. I kind of understand what those 'unexplainable feelings,' that you mentioned, are but I'm not sure how to word. I was thinking about making a thread as well but you beat me to it (I thought about asking for advice though)

Dude, trust me on this one, every guy gets to feeling that way at one point or another in their lives... Better it happens while your young, (those midlife crisis can be hell, so I've heard)
You'll grow out of it, like the rest of us have/are/will, and eventually learn your still A-ok ;) -
Turf wars=video cocaine it happens.....
-
Hey ray, you know what I do when I'm feeling confused with these crazy feelings and down in the dumps?
-
I have been there many times myself. I love you that started fat Raymond v services. It shows your passion for helping a stranger in need. Helping others fix themselves is a lot harder than actually fixing yourself. Is helping a stranger in need more easy for you than helping yourself? If so, it means you are normal. Understand that it isn't selfish to focus on your own needs and priorties before you can focus on others. You can't help others if you can't help yourself first. This, to me, is that whole finding yourself thing. I have been through it at least twice.

Ray hear me and hear me well , you are normal. Everybody has places in their life where the feel like they are loosing it. Last year my wife filed for divorce , I love her very much. I went to the doctor and was diagnosed as being bipolar and depressed. I work in corrections and would bring verbal aggression home with its very hard to turn it off. I would be fine and anything could send me into rage and as far as depression you are not really aware that you are in most cases, me I just thought I was tired and would come home take a shower and go straight to bed. My doctor found me the right medication and my quality of life is a 110% , my wife and I are reconciled and love each other very much. So I would say us crazies a normal and everybody else is messed up. If you ever want to chat pm me

I was a behavioral health nurse..sounds like you may need to go to your nearest ER for an evaluation...they will give you resources to get some help! You may need some meds and counseling to help you! People are right...surround yourself with loved ones and friends for support. Find some coping skills that will help you.. Whether its turf wars, music, exercise, work, reading, hobbies... You need an outlet multiple ones. Create an emergency list of coping and phone calls for when you are feeling in crisis. Hope that helps!

think about this, there is no normal because everybody does things different and what 1 person thinks is normal might be weird to another. Be weird because normal is boring
-
Listen it is normal. People go through phases in their lives and in a way they change all the time, some changes more potent than other changes.
Here is one thing for certain, nothing last and that applies to almost everything except death and other stuff. Personality is apart of that and sometimes labeling what these abstract mental conditions of our minds are is hard.
-
All of us have a label.. What is normal simply is individualized to what is normal for you.

On a more serious note:
I know u know this, but it's worth repeating: suicide will never be an option. You know this, so I will move on...Even though the TW community is full of people that want to help, I think you should take this issue to your family, discuss it with them, and I'm sure they will be of more help than us here. They can help you make a proper decision on what to do next. We can offer you encouragement and advice, but your family are the ones that love you the most and that can help you directly.
Enjoy what life has to offer you. Regardless of what u are going through, you will recover/get over it and your life WILL go on.
Now go out and have some fun.

Are there friends or anyone moderately close to you that you can talk to? Someone that won't be judgmental?
-
Ray, you can ALWAYS tell yer mom. Even when you're 99, you'll still be her baby.
-
You need to remember that your family will live you NO MATTER WHAT.
If suicide pops into your head, even on the slightest, you should tell them.

I think that's part of what I've been going through. One second I don't see any point in my life and I just want it to end, then when I'm having a good time with family/friends (which is never often enough) I'm OK again. I notice it's mostly when I'm alone.

Suicide is a permanent answer to a temporary problem
