Maybe it's homesickness. Didn't you move somewhere?

Yes, but that was 2 years ago, and I used to live in a unfair, boring, and hot monarchy, in which I was bullied in at school. I'm much happier here.Maybe it's homesickness. Didn't you move somewhere?

Depression can manifest in many forms, and it sounds like you're suffering from it. It could be hormonal because of your age, from some type of trauma in your life, or something else.
The mind is like the body. With proper treatment, it can heal. Are you in an area where there's a mental health clinic?

I think a lot of people feel this way from time to time. The thing is we always blow it out of perportion. I'll feel really, I guess empty and unfulfilled is a good way of putting it, but then I realize it's usually got something to do with stress or temporary depression or something. Try to shake things up a bit. You like turf wars because it's a hobby, right? But I'm willing to guess you've been doing this a while and it's not quite as fun anymore. Try a new hobby! Use this an an excuse to venture out a bit. Get a gaming night going or start on some project.

Hi Ray, I'm a mental health nurse, although I don't have the luxury of speaking to you I would suspect you may have depression my friend.
There is a lot of good advice on here, take note. You need to talk to someone and try to understand what may have brought you to this point.Stress effects us all differently and I would hazard a guess that you have suffered some form a stress.
I often use the stress-vulnerability model. A kind of 'see-saw' the more stress is placed on you the more you become vulnerable.
It looks as though you have a good network of friends here to help.
Do me a favour? Go and speak to a health professional.
PM me if you need to talk.AMT

Exactly, I went through the same thing during my teenage years. Writing poetry helped me a lot.Dude, trust me on this one, every guy gets to feeling that way at one point or another in their lives... Better it happens while your young, (those midlife crisis can be hell, so I've heard)
You'll grow out of it, like the rest of us have/are/will, and eventually learn your still A-ok ;) -
Travdog - glad you got your life back on track, and Ray, if you are at school, go and talk to your counsellor, they will keep confidential whatever issue it is that you are battling with at the moment. But you have friends and family to help support you, so you are already one step ahead.

What great advice here, Raymond. Especially from the two RNs.
Please just go see a doc straightaway and tell them exactly what you put in your op. Print it out if needed and just hand it to them.
Everything will be ok. Let us know how it goes. Hugs.💗

Ray, I certainly understand what your going through and as it has been mentioned talk to someone about it. When my mom passed away a few years ago it started a similar thing, I talked to my doctor and he gave me a prescription and then I started getting together with a couple of guys just to talk.
Hang in there pal you are not alone.

Great advice

You feel meh, you feel like distant. You wouldn't commit suicide, but if there was an off switch you'd press it?
You feel not unhappy but empty? Like what is the point. You look at the world and think its all wrong and can't do anything to change it so what is the point? -
I have felt like that, still do. But that's when you need to have goals. Think about some short term stuff you'd like to do, hell if it's punch 1k codes so be it. If its be able to get your running of a mile down to 7 mins do be it. But find something that you can focus on, a reason to be, something that makes you happy and if not happy, busy.
Hope that it helps that you know you are not alone, that there are many people who feel the same. -
Hey man, it'll be okay. We all go through these phases. Just do some self reflecting. If there's anything about your life you can't stand, make some plans to maybe change it. Or find your hobbies. Find something you do enjoy. You will be alright😊
