Where did matter come from?
Forums › General Discussion › Where did matter come from?-
While god was busy making stuff he suddenly remembered not being there. At which point, being god, he made himself.
Matter is made up from atoms, they in turn are made from protons, electrons and neutrons. I am assuming you mean where do these come from (the basic building blocks)?

Matter came when third integrals over a Galvism surface occured at the doppler affect in motion, with the shenal theorem in hand

Exactly. I rest my case. See the difference is science doesn't start with an answer. We start with a question. Keeps everything impartialDRAMABOT 5000 wrote:
We have Genesis 1:1 "In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth" NIV. that is our answer. And before that, God was. He is the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End. That is our answer.Carpenter wrote:
As kev said. Nope religion claims to already have the answerquick draw kev wrote:
Religious people are looking for the truth also. And in hundreds of years, we too will find out answers that we have believed in all this time.a hundreds years or so. But atleast we are looking for the truth, and not just give up and fall into a cult :)

There are a lot of people here that could really benefit from some reading. I'm seeing a lot of 1980's arguments here. For anyone interested in this topic, go buy the elegant universe by Brian Greene. It's one of his older books, but it addresses this very topic in an easily understandable way.
It talks about what happened from the nanosecond the big bang began (neither time nor space existed before that), how it's theorized to have began from a string theory perspective (forget atoms as being building blocks, they are relatively huge)
It talks about the 11 theorized dimensions and yes, even quantum tunneling, which does happen in the quantum world, but never in the macro world we live in.
It's been years since I read the book, I don't remember enough details to speak about intelligently, so I'll refer you all to the book.

I'd like to pose a question to the god side of this debate.
Nothing existed before the big bang according to its theory, yet from the moment the first quark began expanding, the laws of physics were instantly followed and obeyed, and have been ever since. Could it be possible that god and the laws of physics are in fact, one in the same?
-
If God was physics, we discovered and defied God. If God is Almighty and powerful as the bible says, then we could never have achieved those things.
God is not the same as physics. -
How do we defy physics?

If you think we somehow negated gravity by going into space and that gravity doesn't operate in space then you are an ignorant idiot.
-
Gravity absolutely continues to function in space. Last I checked the moon still orbits around the earth without flying off into space thanks to gravity. The planets orbit the sun for the same reason, and the solar system orbits in the galaxy how? By the influence of gravity.

God caused the big bang which caused matter
-
@mojopilot - You're right about the 80's arguments, mine probably because that's when I finished school. I guess my point was more that something is made from something. I find it mind blowing that something could just exist. (not god, I mean something physical). How did that initial building block appear? Might need to check out that book.

It's great! The guy is a partical physicist that writes dumbed down books normal people can read. And it's not a text book, it's the next best thing to a novel.
It is amazing to think that nothing but a small buch of matter and energy could turn into everything, but there is a lot of evidence to support The theory. But as far as I'm aware the current theory doesn't explain anything before several nano seconds. So there is no telling what existed at 0.

Then what made God? 😏I believe god made the big bang, said whoah and steped back and watched. That's my basic beliefs. Don't get me wrong, I have a lot of really nice Christian friends etc.
The Creator in the scriptures, He didn't come from no where. He is the uncaused cause, what Christians believe "eternity to eternity thu art God". God is isn't made of matter. Lest you misrepresent what they actually believe -
God isn't made of anything. Because he doesn't exist. God is just the biggest money making scam in all of history
