That stuff is horrible.
But seriously I'm only buying local meat after seeing that.

That is absolutely wrong. Every species has the intrinsic right to kill for food, protection, and territorial claims. We have no intrinsic right to kill animals...
If you hadn't used the word "intrinsic", you might have made an argument there.
You can't just make up what natural rights are and are not.
If you are religious, you have the explicit right to kill animals.
If you aren't religious, you have the intrinsic right to kill animals.
I respectfully disagree. There are no such things as 'natural rights'. By definition, 'rights' imply morality. Morality is not natural. It is in our nature to oppress and kill what is weaker if it benefits us. But it is not our right. If you want to bicker over word definitions then that is one thing- my original argument is still valid
-
Also religions vary drastically.. There are religions that do not believe in an explicit right to kill animals. To bring in religion is adding an unsolveable theological debate on top of an already complicated one of morality. Just like the argument that we can kill animals 'because they have no souls'

I'm assuming you meant 3000 burgers in one cow. Unless we're talking about REALLY large burgers... 😉 -

Otherwise only the natural order is in play, and all animals follow naturally in the food chain.
You are making a choice that goes against about every system in play, religious and natural.
Make your choice, and STFU about my rights.

The local animal shelter got busted for throwing the "unwanted" cats in to a pond and not letting them ashore so they would drown.... I'm talking, they found hundreds of cats!
Inject the thing or shoot it for that matter but drowning seems cruel and slow.

But animal carnivores do? Strange opinion considering humans are omnivores equipped with canines for tearing meat, and molars for chewing plants... Evolution is a double edged sword. We have molars, but we also have egos to think we are just above nature. Its kinda funny. One day we will look on animal cruelty as a national epidemic, perhaps not yet. We have no intrinsic right to kill animals...

This thread has made me hungery. Time for some veal or lamb!

Here is my opinion. As the dominant race of Earth, we deserve priveledges. And as the food chain goes, the most powerful get to eat the others. However, humans are the only race that overuses that power. I think we should farm locally and with no mistreatment to the animals.

I think GMO grain fed, and hormone injected cattle, are a much bigger concern than most of the stuff brought up in the thread. We aren't going to even know what impact genetically modified foods are going to have on the human race until the next two generations. The foods we eat are so fake and diluted that we aren't even actually getting the nutrients we need to function properly. Instead we are getting chemicals and fillers.

Actually I've read up on the subject. It seems as though there are powers out there who have the goal of depopulating the world. Autism rates, through the roof. Cancer rates, through the roof. Evidence of cellular breakdown, through the roof, and absolutely rampant!
-
And here's some proof!
The Population Council is an international, nonprofit, non-governmental organization. The Council conducts biomedical, social science, and public health research and helps build research capacities in developing countries. One-third of its research relates to HIV and AIDS; its other major program areas are reproductive health and poverty, youth, and gender. It held the license for Norplant contraceptive implant, and now holds the license for Mirena intrauterine system. The Population Council also publishes the journal Population and Development Review, which reports scientific research on the interrelationships between population and socioeconomic development and provides a forum for discussion of related issues of public policy.
-
Established in 1952 by John D. Rockefeller III, with important funding from the Rockefeller Brothers Fund, the Council is governed by an international board of trustees. The 2006 board includes leaders in biomedicine, business, economic development, government, health, international finance, the media, philanthropy, and social science.
Headquartered in New York, the Population Council has 18 offices in Africa, Asia, and Latin America and does work in more than 60 countries. With an annual budget of around $74 million, it employs more than 500 people from 33 countries with expertise in a wide array of scientific disciplines. Roughly 55 percent are based outside the United States. -

Controversially, the Council has its roots in the eugenics movement. The first president of the Council was a eugenicist appointed by Rockefeller; Frederick Osborn, author of Preface to Eugenics (New York, 1940), leader of the American Eugenics Society, and one of the founding members of the Pioneer Fund. Osborn was vice president or president of the Population Council until 1959. In 1968 he wrote, "Eugenic goals are most likely to be achieved under another name than eugenics.

Read section 3 closely guys.
Replace "Includes the roles of children and youth" with "includes the roles of children reprograming and youth brigade programs".
"And NGOs, local authorities" with "NATIONAL GUARD OFFICERS, AND SECRET POLICE".
Notice how they call them NGOs and not National guard officers? That's because no one knows what a NGO is, and are pretty sure it's unconstitutional to police America with a standing army. -
