Israel is a military power.
China is a military power.
Europe is military power.
Russia is a military power.
Australia has a decent military.Point is, there's a bunch of armies, all over the planet, and if there was a world war, chances are there'd be several million people dead by the end of it, and there'd be some poor winner at the end, licking their wounds and trying to rule the world.
So what?! We get it! There's no war yet, and if there was, there's nothing much we could do about it. Keep playing TurfWars, and leave the politics for the politicians. Half of you are likely young teenagers, sitting in your parent's homes, hoping there's going to be a war, because 'War would be fun' or something stupid like that.

It seems the United States has already forgotten about what happened in Vietnam. Kind of like selling outdated weaponry to a poor country, then fight them and lose. They should really start realizing that they can not just win every single war they get themselves into. If Iran would declare war to the US, and cut off America's precious oil-supply.. I believe it would just be a matter of time before other countries in the Middle-East and Asia (and Russia) will follow and declare war to the United States, and cut off even more supplies which eventually will cause America to break.
I would also like to add that I'm not hating on America, on the contrary, I like America.. but they should get their heads out of their asses, in my opinion.

So why are most of you excited for a war with Iran? The economy can't keep supporting all these wars unless they print more money!!! When the economy finally crashes and burns inflation will skyrocket. In some cases maybe $100 for a loaf of bread. Wages will not rise with the inflation to come. The situation back at home will get real bad. Many city's will have large scale looting. City's will burn for days. I don't like where this is heading. War is not helping our economy, this is not ww2. Only the contractors are making big bucks. It's hurting everyone else.

Iran and Iraq were in full-on war for 10 solid years, and they are right next to each other. Territory shift? None. Stalemate.
We blew through Iraq in a couple weeks with more friendly fire casualties than enemy produced casualties.
And we live on the other side of the Atlantic.
The US has absolutely nothing to fear from war with Iran, with the exception of funding.
If you think otherwise, you might want to brush up on recent history, military armaments, economic strengths, etc.
Hell, all we have to do is tell Israel we got their back and let them handle it.
The sad thing is Iran was almost ready to reform with the recent student protests, and we sat on our hands and did little to assist.
Islamo-fascist nations lacking in basic human rights need help moving out of the bronze age.

Agree. I've done a lot of international travel. It's helped me gain perspective and see more globally versus only through my American lenses.
Perhaps I'm not the norm though as I have repeatedly found the French and Parisians to be some of the most charming people of all. Ha

I am sorry if I come across as US bashing. It is just so frustrating that you are the superpower. You dictate to the world what is acceptable to society. Yet the majority of you have not left your gated community to meet the neighbours. There are amazing things to see and do in the US but there is more to see in the world. I have seen the largest waterfalls in the world and it's not Niagra Falls. Have seen cities built before JC was born. I have travelled the paths of the Aztecs and climbed an active volcano.
Come on out get to know the neighbours, be polite, show an interest in the rest of the world and make friends. It's better than being seen as the bully.
I suppose as an Australian and ally of the US I think it is important for a friend to be honest.

All this talk of "winning" a war is off. War is sometimes nessasary. But both sides don't always have the same end goal in mind. Iran's definition of winning might seem crazy to most Americans. It's like when Bruce Lee was asked what opponent he feared the most. Lee said if someone is determined to bite off your nose at all cost, without regard to his own safety, he becomes the most dangerous opponent because he throws out the usual standard of winning.

To tell you the truth the U.S. will probably not got involved; I mean what is there for the America to gain? A bunch of angry Iranian people? Israel can take care of itself. This was proven in the 7 day war in which Israel more than doubled it's size and kicked some middle eastern countries in the ass!! If you don't believe me google it. Israel has the military power to defiantly take on Iran head to head and win.
