I've heard (in forums) that a player quit cause of persistent actions of another player.
I think that most of the times it happens to newer players or players who don't use forums.
They quit unnoticed.Honestly I don't see how you can force reset a player - you can always sell upkeep weapons in desperate times, and even if you are in serious debt - you can ask support to reset your money (after some time ofc)

I didn't want to superquote on the convo line that was talking about this, but surrender does not end the burning of your turf. I speak from personal experience.

I've only heard of support resetting debt for players that quit without selling upkeep weapons & armor. I would hope support wouldn't fix the debt of an active player. That would be lame & take away part of strategy.

I am going to get into this. I have been labled as a bully. Look you can not take players turf that is much higher than yourself in mob members. You can take turf from players that are smaller than you. It's the way it is. To bully you must be mean and corner one to a corner and not let them do some thing control them and be mean. Were I'm going with this is I take turf from someone and then they get mad. If there cool I give them advise and tell them I'm there to help out if you ever need it. And I help them. If there a complete jerk I let them feel it a bit. That's not being a bully. Taking a couple of turf from one player to move around is not bulling Ofcourse he's tells you to stop your not taking all of his stuff just a couple here and there. That's fine

To be told when the V I have against me is over not to worry there is another one ready to start. That's bulling. To be told to tear down turfs or else is bulling. This is being done to me DRAMABOT 5000 not you. To be told to give a formal appoligy to everyone Ive taken from is just a slap in the face and that is bulling. I will not bow down to this. And I will fight back. This will not end in this game. Just see stuff from both sides the game sucks some times for people. It's the role of the day. But there's nothing wrong with seeing both sides before you get into a group to help out. When this V is over I will be checking someone the way I have been being checked. I'm not a bully

The definition of bully also varies on which side of the 'bullying' you're on. You may just be an unfortunate target of someone who is being attacked in another area and needs the turf - wrong place wrong time. If you go out of your way to harass a player to the point at which they can no longer play the game I would class that as bullying.
-
Bullying is taking the fun out of the game for other players, ie. what mystery calls terrorizing. The problem with this behavior is that it can discourage new players from playing this game, which hurts the game as a whole because there are less active players, less diversity, and less turf for all of us to capture. This is turf wars, not a$$hole wars.

D Dizzle is a good example of a bully (despite his protestations to the contrary). He caps numerous turf from much smaller players and doesnt stop, even after they ask him to stop. I heard from 6-7 players that he was terrorizing them. I gave him a chance to explain himself and stop capping these noobs before joining the v, but he showed no remorse whatsoever and continued to cap noobs. Even after the v began, he continued to threaten the creator of the v by saying he would get his revenge once the v is over. This is clearly bullying. This guy just doesnt know how to play respectfully. And some of you like to justify this behavior as "its just part of the game" but thats bullshit. Its just mean-spirited and selfish behavior that deserves to be punished. Mystery, Belial and others dont play like this and they are quite successful. So stop using that weak excuse, I'm sick of it.

Bully (turfwars) n.
Any player that attacks a whiner.

When a player who has been playing much longer caps turf they do not need or caps & deletes.

The reason you have a V on you is because you constantly bulky people. A good example for you is that you cap people out of areas. Don't act innocent, I know this is turf wars and taking turf here and there is fine. But not when you focus on capping as many turf as possible. Of you look at this guys turf he hardly has any built by himself. We recently destroyed about 45 of d dizzle turf because he is a bulky. And after the first 15 or so he sends nasty messages. In Torrence Cali not one of ur 65 turf was created by you. And yes, bevayse you cap people that haven't even gotten 1k mob and capping people put of areas you have this v against you. DONT BULLY AND CAP PEOPLE OUT OF AREAS FOR NO REASOB OR THREATEN PEOPLE. -

Hmm. I can't label d dizzle a bully because I honestly don't know. Only reason I joined was for fun.

Personally I wouldn't see scorche earth tactics as bullying I wouldn't use it other than an absolute last resort. If my understanding is correct i can think if hundreds of benefits. It is also one of the few ways to hurt someone much larger than yourself.
I would class a bully as someone who frequently caps a new player and refuses to give advice on how to play better. I always send them to the help forum and give them the name of a codesite. If in a weeks time they make no effort to improve I claim protection plus cap what I want even if they ask me to stop. -

Would that not then have worked if they move on they will move out of cap range. You could also use this to create a gap between you and the aggressor if they are over their limit again it has been successful.

That is except when used as a defense. I have seen it work well defensively.
-
I would say that is more down to the fact that it was poorly planned and executed rather than the fact it's a bad tactic.
Looking at it from a maginot line concept would likely be more successful. Strategic placing could both buy time and also prove incredibly difficult for the larger player to bypass if they were over limit.
