I think it should be legal. Some women need them for health reasons. Also, having a child when you're not financially secure, or unfit for parenthood, is detrimental to the child. More kids who grow up in poverty or bad homes tend to have more problems with substance abuse or problems with the law. And foster care is not much better. I think illegalizing it is a mistake

Out of curiosity, why is Belial arguing about this when he's a guy? What grounds do you have for making this argument? Since men clearly have different maternal "instincts" than women, why does a man have any right to be arguing about this? Honestly?! And do you ever hear cases about the woman just moving on in her life? The men certainly do, because they just dump the poor girls as soon as they get pregnant. Men tend to have the mindset of treating girls like objects. So why is a man having any validation here? Of course he'd say abort it! He's not the one who'd be going through the emotional trauma of having the whole ordeal, or the guilt of aborting a baby.

Molesting minors is illegal.Why is murdering a minor who hasn't been born yet, not illegal then?
It makes me sick, all those thousands of poor kids who never get a chance to live, and who are torn to bits and thrown in (get this) rubbish bins behind the hospitals.
How do we know that some of those kids wouldn't have grown up to become the next Einstein? Or the next Michael J. Fox?

I'm pro choice.
I see numberous reasons exist where a woman can see an abortion as the right thing to do.
I do however think the cut off date is too late. (28 weeks I think)
Given modern medicine, foetus's become viable (with some help) at around week 25. Definitly abortions should not occur after this time in my opinion. With preferably a generous margin before then.
My suggestion would be at week 20, just before the germinal matrix stage of rapid brain development.
I also think abortion is too heavily depended on by some people, rather than other forms of family planning/birth control.
I know colleagues who see the same women time after time, as they see abortion as being the same as condoms or plan b. this attitude I don't agree with.
Miss-use by a minority is no reason to ban in totality, neither is someone's elses religious views. By that logic we should ban blood transfusions as Jehovah's witnesses don't agree with them. -
How do you still call it a clump of cells? Do you feel it move inside of you? Have you lived with the feeling that there is somethig alive inside of you? So how can you know whether it is simply a clump of cells?
