Oh but they have learned from us in our time together. They've taught some american sign language! You ask me where they went wrong, and all I can ask you is where did we go wrong? They have not destroyed their environment. They have not upset the bio diversity. They have not polluted the air to the point where, in some areas, at some times, it is recommended that children do not play outside. -

Ok guys. This is the real answer... Whatever laid the egg was had probably not evolved into a chicken yet. It was probably really really close, but not the EXACT same as a chicken. Its offspring had evolved the last tiny bit to become what we know as a chicken. So, the egg came 1st

The difference is that science evolves as our understanding of the world evolves. Theories need to be testable, repeatable, and subject to challenge.
Fundamentalist religion is exactly the opposite, imo. It is based on dogma which is about maintenance of the status quo and answering questions of existence with faith. Not testable, repeatable theories that are open to challenge once improved evidence is found.
