Pro choice but anti abortion
-
I think everyone who's pro choice is fucking wrong everyone has the right to live including that baby if they're situation is bad enough to where they couldn't take care of it they shouldn't have had unprotected sex and if they did use protection they knew their was a chance of pregnancy anyway that gives them no right to choose whether a child lives or dies if anything put them up for adoption but killing the child is the same as murder
-
I meant that most abortions today are done by clinicly inducing menstration. People picture a surgical procedure with a vacuum but that's not how its done today.
Men have a lot of choices. If their partner gets pregnant they can leave. The woman can't. To me the anti-choice retoric is really about maintaining this power over women. These same people mostly believe in the death penalty too, so it's not about life.
Now here's a question. If you get a woman pregnant and you leave her, should your balls be cut off? Or are you pro-choice for men?

What about rape or incest?
Or complications that may threaten the life of the mother?
What about congenital disorders that will adversely affect the quality of life for the child to be?

When it comes to rape thts one instance u can decide but 99% of the time the victim is where law enforcment can use a rape kit to prevent pregnancy incest is fucking nasty if it's by choice then u should allow child to live if not again with rape kit If there's complications then thts unfortunate and terrible but again if u don't want the risk don't just fuck a random ass person if it's your spouse then u should plan sex accordingly and carefully to avoid pregnancy like inbetween cycles and shit I don't know much about all tht though how would u know they have disorders before birth if they do then let them live and give them the love they need and deserve
-
First off, less than 25% of rapes are ever reporte,
The number is even lower for cases of incest and molestation.
And almost all defects can be detected with pre-natal testing. Some, very early in the pregnancy.

All I'm saying is noone on this earth has the right to choose whether a baby lives or dies thts up to god and he probably has a better reason than we do for his choice and I'm not even talking about rape thts a completley different subject lol I'm talking specifically about someone who willingly has sex with someone else and isn't smart about it they have no right to kill tht baby if they didn't want to have a chance of having a kid they shouldn't have had sex
-
I was pro life until I started reading these forums
-
I understand what you are saying. We all have to live with the choices we make.
But not everyone makes choices.
But nonetheless, we should all should be allowed to make our own choices. Final judgment can be reserved for God.

If it's rape could they not put it up for adoption instead of killing it

This was a pretty good debate. I read every bit of it just now. I don't have much to add really because I think it's all been said. I do think women unfortunately do carry a little more responsibility in sex because they are the ones who have the risk of being left by the man (might I add they should be referred to as cowards, not men). It sucks and isn't fair but that's how I feel.

Let's not confuse terms here; the term 'baby' is not even applied until after it is born; for the first 8 weeks it is an 'embryo' then from that point until birth its actually called a 'fetus'.All I'm saying is noone on this earth has the right to choose whether a baby lives or dies thts up to god and he probably has a better reason than we do for his choice and I'm not even talking about rape thts a completley different subject lol I'm talking specifically about someone who willingly has sex with someone else and isn't smart about it they have no right to kill tht baby if they didn't want to have a chance of having a kid they shouldn't have had sex

Thats one choice. But it's not always cut and dried. You need to consider all circumstances.
For the rape victim, that means every day for nine months is a reminder of the trauma she went through.
What if she's some rich socialite?
What if she's a well adjusted middle classer with no problems to face in dealing with a pregnancy?
What if she's already a single mom who's ex is a deadbeat and offers no support, but her is such that she can support her and her child(ren) (just barely). but too good to qualify for any public assistance?
What if she has complications with the prgnancy and can't work? What if she has extended medical costs as a result? Or no health care coverage?
Quality of life for her and her children will be greatly diminished. Why should they all suffer for something she had no control over?
There are always options.
I myself am pro choice, but feel abortion should be the last resort when all other options have been exhausted.

My best friend started going to my church a while back and then got a girl there pregnant and since then has not once come near that girl. Every time I see her and that child I feel sick about it. I should say he was my best friend. Now I want nothing to do with him. He's a coward who left a woman high and dry Dont know why I shared that but I did.

The pro life/pro choice debate is almost NEVER about the life of a child.
It's about Government control and the Nanny State. The potential child is nothing more than a pawn in a political chess match.

I just don't think it's right to kill a child whether it's an embryo or fetus or whtever it's still a child just not a well developed one but there are circumstances such as rape where I beleive it's a matter of opinion and situation if someone has an abortion they should have exausted all other options to the fullest extent and say this is whts best for me and the kid because they'd suffer and not have anything I can give them it's better this way but I still don't like the idea of it it's a terrible society we live in when ppl take advantage of women and have to put the burden of a childs life in their hands

maybe I'm misreading that, but didn't the last half of that sound completely contradictory to what this person said before?I just don't think it's right to kill a child whether it's an embryo or fetus or whtever it's still a child just not a well developed one but there are circumstances such as rape where I beleive it's a matter of opinion and situation if someone has an abortion they should have exausted all other options to the fullest extent and say this is whts best for me and the kid because they'd suffer and not have anything I can give them it's better this way but I still don't like the idea of it it's a terrible society we live in when ppl take advantage of women and have to put the burden of a childs life in their hands

Are we really going to portray anti-choice opinion as wanting to stop womens sexual liberation or to keep government control?? That's the most assinine thing I've ever heard. When you get pregnant "life" is set in motion. If you are not prepared for that to happen then don't have sex or make sure take precautions to keep it from happening. No one and I mean no one enjoys womens sexual liberation as much as I do. Lol 👊🔨💀
-
I said I personally don't condone it but under rape it's completley different Im not talking about rape I'm talking speciffically about someone who chooses to have sex In tht case an abortion is wrong every fucking time
-
I'm personally not saying anyone's wrong...I'm more of a 'to each their own' kind of guy unless someone's doing something to violate my basic human rights, constitutional rights granted me by my country or violating the rights of anyone else I care about.
In my opinion, not that anyone cares (or even should), abortion is nothing more than an argument over terminating a 'potential' human life. & I stress potential because by definition, it is not a human life ('baby') until it leaves the womb.
What happens when you fire off a couple of "knuckle children"? You are in essence killing what could potentially become a human life. What about if you & your significant other are about to have sex, but at the last moment (I know ouch!) you decide to abstain...you have just eliminated all chances of what potentially could have been.
-
Unfortunately, I think this will always be a black & white topic with absolutely no comfortable compromise from either side.
I really think the whole pro-life/pro-choice conflict stems from the religious intolerance formed from the interpretation of religious beliefs.
Thou Shalt Not Kill, right? Well....I stepped on an ant today; I guess I'm a killer.

I'm just waiting for someone to start threads on gay marriage and the death penalty..(not bc I plan on sharing my views, but you know, going with the controversial debate theme..I'm surprised they haven't been done yet..)

Matt, you're right. At the very center of this debate are deep seeded religious beliefs. Because if you believe that God is the giver of life then that life begins at conception the way He intended. I'm sure that for some "Thou shall not kill" may play a big part. For me, not so much. It has more to do with God's creation of life that establishes my opinion. Congrats on killing the ant although that has zero to do with the intent of the sixth commandment. 👊🔨💀

I gave to agree with big Hank. Mamatek my mom was adopted and if she wouldn't have been I wouldn't be alive today. Adoption is a good thing and if u r against adoption u can go fuck urselfI am pro life. Only in extreme circumstances where the mothers life is in danger or the woman is raped do I support abortion. Too many people can't have children and would love to be responsible parents if given the chance!

I completely respect your beliefs Nate & everyone else's here; I actually believe each case should be very critically analyzed for it is no small decision to make; some cases can be logically and humanely justified while some cannot.
Overall, a good debate considering the topic...everyone was mostly civilized & even respectful.

A question for some of u: How could life NOT begin at conception? Once the sperm and egg r united they grow into a baby. It so frustrating to see stupid bs saying that an embryo isn't alive or a fetus isn't a human. Every person was both of those at one point
-
Agreed Matt. Phat, that comment to mama tek may have been a little over the top don't you think? Let's play nice in this thread please. Besides, we have debated this to death I think. Lol. Thanks for the thought provoking conversation all. I look forward to seeing you in the Gay, Death Penalty and Weed threads. Lol 👊🔨💀
