Mystery Brief Case [Loot Sale Idea]
Forums › Suggestions & Feedback › Mystery Brief Case [Loot Sale Idea]-
Ok so here's what I'm thinking, you have three brief cases
•grey hardcase
•plain leather
•black leather -
each case includes 3 different loot items. Grey hardcase includes all loot items where as the plain leather includes only uncommon to very rare items. Black leather cases will only consist of the upmost rarest items AND possibly other cases (and very rarely another black leather case) these cases can either be claimed or put up for sell at any price of your choosing in a (Black Market) tab within the market area. Here you can sell these cases for Either cash or don points. Highest asking price is 10B but if the highest offer isn't passed within 24hrs that person gets it. Anyone who puts down 10B on the spot will get it.
-
Rules for don points biddin will be different. Highest asking price is 5 DPs. You choose how long it stays up on the market and how long after each bid will it stay up. Shortest time for an auction will be 1 hour. Longest will be 1 week. The shortest for the postbid timer is 1 hour. The longest will be 24 hours.
Of course the grey hardcase will be the easiest to find and the black leather case will be the hardest but I think this will be the perfect way for newer players get established and vets to have fun exploring a new addition to the game and find a way to figure out how to make more money. -
Wait, loco where do the cases come from? Or are they put together using loot by the player?

I don't see this working. Useful loot is hard to get hold of as it is. Would there be enough loot around to put on the market? Hm.
I still like the idea of a black market, not sure if this is the way forward for it though.

I stopped reading half way through, because it just sounded like FIFA Ultimate Team, trying to be turned into turf wars😂

I want somewhere to sell off loot...like the ideals the black market but I think someone's going to mention mules...?
-
While I love the name 😜, I do see a huge potential for abuse by mules.

thats why its put up for auction and theres timers to prevent mules. It wont go based upon an area itll be qorldwide so you cannit narrow it down to one player whos selling things. While I love the name 😜, I do see a huge potential for abuse by mules.
If it makes it any better tge names can be blocked so you cant tell whos selling it.
And i had a feeling youll like the name 😄 -
I've generally been opposed to having the ability to buy loot. I think it would only benefit larger/more established players & people with plenty of rl $. Newer players tend not to have a lot of in-game cash to spend.

I still think it would be easy to abuse. People could use a 2nd account to put in the loot that they need. Then they choose a low & odd number to sell it at. Since they know all the details of the item (time put on market, sale price, etc) it would be easy to choose it with their main account, even if the names were hidden.

I say that there shouldn't be a max bid price, as that way they cannot sell the loot then re-buy it instantaniously.I still think it would be easy to abuse. Anyone else got anything to say???
-
It's the black market. You don't sell illegal items to your neighbors next door. black market is usually international
How about you can't sell or buy from people in the same town.
-
PS: Bidding time should be your choice. Like if someone bids $2 for a case, and in 24 hours no one sees it, sale will still be open for a time of your choice, up to a 4 weeks.
-
It would practically be the same as giving people stuff. You tell your friend, or V member, I'm putting x items in a case at x time & selling it for x amount (most likely a low amount.) Then your friend/V partner will be sitting on the market waiting for it to show up. People could even use intermediaries to sell something to their other account. I can't see a way around the mule issue.
-
I think I got a way to stop mules on this; when you put it on the Market there is a 12 - 38 hour delay for it to get on the Market (this time is random) and it doesn't tell the player who put it on how long the delay is,or when it gets on. That way the chances are that within that time a few other players could have put them on therefore scrambling them. Obviously the player could work out how long the delay actually was after it has finished but it would be too late to use it with there mule.
-
Haha Its like eBay 😺

Then you'd have to stop the account that put it on from being able to see anything about it. Which would also mean that if the main account bought anything while it was on the market they might end up buying it back. no you don't know what's in the case. That's the thing. You either can sell it to someone n let them take the gamble or claim it yourselfIt would practically be the same as giving people stuff. n possibly won't sell any at all -
I don't like it. Loot should only be looted and never bought. I could go into the reasons for this but they should be obvious

Overall, I still agree with B though that loot shouldn't be able to be purchased.

you're not understanding. The cases ARE loot items that CONTAIN loot items. You don't know what's in them though. So you can take a gamble n claim them for yourself OR you can sell the cases n let someone else take the gamble. So they can end up paying millions or billions for something like a health pack (just an example) again NOBODY knows what's in the casesIf you are selling your loot then how would you not know what you put in the case? I wouldn't want the system to randomly choose from my loot!
