From this same forum (the date was March 18, 2010):

I hv just finished adding all the codes on tge internet for my bf... For 3000 codes he reach the mob of 1500 sth... That means to say half the players are not logging in at least twice a day... So Nick pls tell me how are we as new player going to survive????
I think nick would be better off advertising more. TW has always had player retention issues. No game will appeal to everyone, but this one might be harder to get into then some others. I think a lot more advertising (assuming there is any now) might bring in a lot more people & would be more likely to reach those that would enjoy the game. Another noob flood would bring in a lot more codes.

It’s not logical. Currently invites expire after 60 days. Why would nick reverse that to make them auto-accept? Is it going to magically become retroactive too? I’d easily have a 300k mob after all the codes I’ve repeatedly punched over the years. How would this help the disparity in mob between new players and old players? Old players can just as easily punch the codes of inactives and gain massive mobs. (Most new players just need to be told they don’t need to have 100k mob to enjoy the game. The game can be fun at any level. Unless things have changed, the larger players don’t typically bother with the smaller players unless they’re purposefully causing problems or joined an alliance against them.)

*by “smaller players” I actually meant newer players or casual players, etc., not snipers.

For the love of Pete, why is this not a thing?
At this point for new ones like me it's better and more reliable to punch temps cos those are automatic, instead of the same people who are already in my mob posting their code constantly and I can't get any others. -

Temps aren’t automatic accepts; no codes are automatic accepts. You can get plenty of regular codes on mob.codes. Hit “Punch” instead of “Temps.” If you read some of the stuff in this thread, you’d know why it’s not already a thing. For the love of Pete, why is this not a thing?✂️
As Belial had to repeatedly point out it the past, it would make mobs completely pointless. Everyone who punched codes would end up having the exact same size mobs. Those of us that have played longer might have a small advantage if we’ve punched codes that have been lost over time, but it’s not likely it would be enough to make a difference. The only players that would have smaller mobs, if this was implemented, would be those who didn’t punch codes and inactives.
-
No, sorry, I’m wrong. Inactive players’ mobs would grow too. That’s one way to protect inactive players. 😆 Boy, wouldn’t that be exciting - imagine coming back from inactivity and discovering your mob had grown by several thousands. Woohoo! That would be daunting for players starting out - seeing that only brand new active players had small mobs. It would appear that everyone who ever downloaded the app punched maybe 1 or 2 thousand codes (depending of course on how long prior to their download that the change had been implemented), which would seem to be quite the statistical anomaly. Idk if I’d be impressed, concerned, or just confused.

My idea is if player doesn’t except by 60 days then give a henchman. In fact it doesn’t even have to be one for one. One henchman for every three to five codes would still be better than nothing.

You’d still end up with all the same problems I already stated. It would be even worse though. You could just keep punching the same group of codes of inactive players and get tons of hench (because the inactive players would never accept their invites). It would be a race to see who could punch the most codes but it would lack the balance that a real person having to accept adds.My idea is if player doesn’t except by 60 days then give a henchman. Forget mob, I’m still waiting for the update that will give us submarines to travel to islands and death rays to destroy turf from far away.

This is honestly the best idea I’ve heard. It keeps the big guys big, while still providing the smaller ones with more mob. Wait, wait, wait - am I reading this correctly? An invite expires 60 days after it’s sent if not accepted?
