The Don's Grace

Nick,
Idea for a new item. Let's call it: "The Don's Grace". This item, which may only be purchased via don points, allows you to drop a single turf within the normal game restrictions regardless of whether or not you are overlimit. Cost - 250 don points. You may only use it once, then it is gone.
It is not useful to lower level players but for higher level players, it allows them to continue to grow outside of their current restrictions. EX: Hum is currently overlimit and traveling this weekend in NorCal. If I purchased "The Don's Grace", I could drop one pin in Chico, CA. Nick makes money, I have one new spot. I can't hop from here until I am underlimit but I can cap normally, if I am smart enough to place the turf (within my gps allowed area) in the right area.

I need to give partial credit to Cupcake for this suggestion. Thx NutCup

Partial credit... this was my idea. Humhole!

I like the idea.

I understand why, but I think I disagree. The game mechanic for turf limit is so that you cant just unlimited turf plating and capping. If you could just purchase a new turf drop even if you're over limit then you'd never have a reason to stay under. All you'd have to do is cap everyone where you can reach normally, go way over limit, then visit a new place and pay for a new turf and the cap everyone there an then do this on and on. Turf limit i believe is a CRUCIAL part of the strategy of the game. Especially when it comes to fighting. If a bigger player caps his way into an area and is way over limit, the smaller players can band together and remove him and as long as they don't build turfs within his capture radius he can't get back into their area.
If this was simply about being able to have a turf in a new city Id totally agree. But the problem is that many players will use that turf to cap from people. This hurts smaller players who are the ones who will be financing the big players expansion.

Have to agree with JmanX here. Someone over limit and dominanting a couple top ten cities could easily take over another top 10 city or two or three.
and at just 10 bucks a pop, why not?
-
And the mechanincs are already in place for inreasing turf limit.
and 250 points would get you another 20 turfs. This would only help and encourage extremely aggressive players, imo.
-
I like the idea I'm already going to have to spend that much to raise my turf limit when I travel in january. I'd rather spend it on just one turf and strategically place it than spend the few days increasing my limit.

I disagree. The problem with being over limit is you can no longer enjoy the gps feature which is a very crucial element of the game. If it was one time purchase only I don't see any harm in itAnd the mechanincs are already in place for inreasing turf limit.

There are few things left to the large players in this game. Once you hit level 100 and no magic happens, you need to find something to amuse yourself with...
As for domination, vendettas are tools used to keep big players out of areas. I mean, if BAIC wanted Belial out of San Francisco, what could Belial really do. (note to Belial - this is not meant to start a strategic thread on the use of vendettas, just a case in point.)

So much is said about how there's "nothing left to do" for big/top players and that the game needs to be changed to fit their needs. I think that's silly. As a 100 level players who's not too small I still find plenty of things to do and enjoy myself immensely on this game (and that's considering I don't fight or cap turfs). It's not impossible to have fun and have new things to do as a big player.
As Charlie said in another thread, this game thrives on the new smaller players who strive to get bigger, not the giants at the top. This would be hell for smaller players.
Imagine if a player like Flat Face had 13k mob and liked to cap everyone. As a trucker he could drive and drop turfs in every city in the country. Then he could cap everyone in those cities and never worry about turf limit. All he'd have to do is buy another "grace turf" and drop in a new city. Even if a city managed to organize a vendetta to kick him out, all he'd have to do is show up again and drop a new turf.

Yeah bit the grace idea is supposed to be one use lifetime. Or the way I understood it. This wouldn't hurt things too much
-
Wow, Jman. I never imagined Flatface as anyone's "worst nightmare".
Sounds like a screenplay for a class B horror flick. Hey, Zraygo, let's COLLABORATE!!!!! -

That is how I was imagining or maybe make it 3 lifetime definitely not unlimited. I mean I shouldn't be able to take over every city.Yeah bit the grace idea is supposed to be one use lifetime. Or the way I understood it. This wouldn't hurt things too much

if it's 3 lifetime I say they also need to be between 3 and 6 months apart with a max of 3 lifetime.Belial wrote:

Wouldn't nick make more for one to have to buy turf limit to match what they have? At 24 pts
-
Per day and only netting 2 turfs a day the cost quickly rises if you are in a hurry to "catch up"

it's nt possible for everyone to catch up. Cupcake is over 2k over his limit. Should he spend over $1k just to be able to move to a new area? See belial gets me

Forget paying for it. How bout super rare loot...

balance, right? Someone 1000 over limit could buy ONE turf and turn that into 2000 over limit.

I like the idea CupHum Boldt's Cake . Happy now e1. 😜😜 not agreeable on mechanics. This game was never meant to have a certain end point except for those we make ourselves.
