VIRGIN MOBILE MIFI
Forums › General Discussion › VIRGIN MOBILE MIFI-
ok so im lookin into gettin a mifi, mainly from virgin mobile since im hearin alot of ppl sayin theyre better than the rest. I have read the info
Unlimited Internet, No Contract
Fast 3G Connection and No Speed Restrictions
No Credit Checks or Activation Fees
Change Plans as Your Needs Change
Connect up to 5 devices, 30 -40 feet away
Up to 4 hours of battery usage, 40 hours standby timei like it so far, i was told AT&T has one too and so does sprint. ive been a sprint user for many years and they always tend to piss me off mainly cuz the coverage sucks, i try to get on the internet from my phone OMFG i just wanna stab myself in the eyes just to go to the hospital undergo surgery or any neccesarry treatment for my injury then go back to work and look at my phone to see its barely half way loaded
i just checked out AT&T's mifi though and idk i just dont like how its set up. If any of you have any sugggestions plz let me know, wifi at my house is currently (and possibly will perminately) be down.

Where have you been? So quiet
Around here....
Go
Tmobile
Then?
I don't know about US coverage -
ive been busy, school is starting again, and like i said wifi here is pretty much going down. Im stealing my bro's wifi (that nagger lives right next door) ;P
-
That's funny 😄
I'm In the sane spot right now😺 We just signed for a new apartment today and we'll be completly moved by Friday (so no wifi 😳)
😋 so I was planning on using my bluetooth on my phone to get on my iPod or laptop till I decide what I'm doing (at least it's free 😉
but I thought about
sprint (but your right there coverage sucks 😒 and there customer support is the worse)
virgin mobile or
Verizon (hotspot) (but Verizion is pricey I know I have there phone service 😼)but If you figure something out
(other then the above - which i already knew)
let me know 😄 -
Same* not sane 😄
I'll never be sane 😉 -

im reading the info from the actual site now heres how they price it.
the device itself is 149.99
for $10 (for 10 tens) you get 100MB 5hours of web browsing and 10,000 emails without attachments
for $20 (a month) you get 500MB and 24 hours of web browsing and 50,000 emails w/o attachments
for $50 (a month) you get UNLIMITED data 3G speeds with 2.5GB and UNLIMITED access
ima go get it right now -
So u can open 50000 emails a month, but cant open attachments, how does that work?
-
I used to have a mifi. That thing was amazing. It was well worth the money, as it connected all the laptops in the house, and I'd take it on road trips to use wifi with my first gen iPod 😁 those were the days... Nowadays all I've got is this lame ass iPhone 4...
-
i bought it. cheaper than expected but cant get it to connect to the internet i put $50 in it and ive done the whole activation process but it wont connect to the internet and continues to say its inactive
-
maybe i just need to wait a while idk
-
This is going to sound really stupid. But try pulling out the battery while your phone is still on. It usually works. I used to work for at&t and honestly it solves 90% of problems.
Good luck

You do realize that Virgin uses Sprints network, right? So any speed or coverage issues you have with Sprint will be the same on Virgin. Also, after 2.5 GB, they limit your speed to nearly nothing.

I've got a Mi-Fi from 3-Three in the UK that I use when I lose 3G signal on my O2 contract phone and it works with my laptop also.
It works well and it's fairly cheap, the only downside is that I have to top up every month even if I don't use up 1Gb of download I bought the month before. -

Primo,
Did it ever connect? -
It costs £10 for 1Gb of mobile broadband but it expires after a month even if you didn't use it all.

nope had to wait til 4am to contact tech support and then was on the phone for like 2 hours doing the same shit over n over then they told me to just go get it replaced, i did that and it was doing better but would never connect, ill press connect then itll disconnect soon after, but right now im waiting, the guy said the system is going to fix it somehow and i need to wait for about like 2-3 hours possibly more (when ever this button stops blinking i assume)Primo,
