How do u cope with dead spots?
Tried increasing inf of turf with upgrades... Police maps.... All used up... Damn! -
I was tryin to plant a turf all day yesterday in a dead spot. Same situation no maps left.
Solution...
I built right nxt to turf planted and it worked got me past dead spot.
Or find different route(there's always a way).
Or plant just behind dead spot turf thn delete it and see how much more forward you can get it.
Or wait till u loot a map :( -
Pretty much what Marc said and before you declare an area a dead spot increase the turf to 138 and make sure you try to tap everywhere for a few minutes. You would be surprise that there's little pin spot where you could land sometime. I've always found a way to where I'm hopping but sometime you just have to use police maps. Just don't waste them until you are sure.

Nick should just remore the requirement to plan near a road, or fix it and add railroads if he hasn't already.

Then somebody would start a floating of turf somewhere out in the ocean?

Might not work for you in this situation but If your planning a hopping journey It might be worth your while planning your route first....... With one of the updates in 2011 when you press the + symbol and select outside your plant radius it'll say whether it's an plantable (not sure if that's even a word) area or not...... You could keep doing this for the whole journey and hopefully replan your route
It's a preemptive stratergy but may save you cash and time in the long run
I did it before heading down the m260 (I think it was) and managed 2-3 diversions which eventually saved me time👍

Nope... Only two roads for miles, can't get past, was able to replant close by but it's made little difference in the grand scheme of things.... Damn google and it's gaps!

I remember this happening to me a wile bk tryin t cross a bridge in amsterdam, I had t wait weeks till a got enough maps :( -
