Forums › General Discussion › Restoring my Ipod touch-
I didn't like having it jailbroken. It would glitch and run slower and yesterday after trying to change the look of things it acted all stupid on me and onky stayed at the screen when you first turn it on and it shows the apple. Yea so it dies over n over still doing it it'll charge over n over n make the same plug in sound OVER AND OVER I talked to one of my friends she said that happened to hers but she took it to apple n they fixed it for her. Yea.... I'm not gonna do that lol doupt they'll help me anyways since it's jailbroken. She also said it's from iPods that die alot old iPods and sonethin else but just restore it n it'll be good as new so that's what I'm doing meanwhile Ima update it (8+ hours here I come)

Press the sleep and home button and hold them down and that should reset the hole thing. But be warned everything that you haven't saved or backed up will be lost.I didn't like having it jailbroken. 👆thats not right. Holding the home and power button only resets the phone. Not everything on it. Its a hard reboot.

Booooo
I jailbroke my iPod before, it was 3rd gen, I found it only made the device more liable to crashing and slowed it down.... I think I'm content to live in apples walls for now. -
Sweet its do...... WTF I just heard that old style phone ringing
wow.... It's even updated and all in just a few mins

Sounds like it. The only way to reset and lose everything is either restoring new on your computer or reseting through settings.jcmitchell5 wrote:

Nah, the guy at the bar(apple store) just took it and did just that. He asked me if I had backed it up before he did that(I did) and then it was restored to factory settings. The Inspector. wrote:

I dunno. Maybe the ipod is different because i do it to my iphone about once a month and it doesnt restore anything.

Well whatever the case may be it's done the thing is gone and I is happy lol
Dont got music or videos.... Or apps..... But I'm happy 😼

My iPod is 2 years old...
Does the exact same thing.
I just ignore it. I know it's kinda stupid, but whatever. The biggest glitch mine has is sometimes it randomly thinks it's charging. Then it shuts off. It's not jailbroken. The problem you have is an old iPod, not the jailbreaking. -
I had the exact same problem hold the power button for 3 secounds then hold the home button fir 15 more seconds then let go of the home button and keep holding the power button for 30 seconds plug it into your lap top and pull up iTunes and click restore it tells yo what to do from there make sure to back it up to

Laugh out loud, jail breaking caused that?
