No arguments just do you believe it's true or not....
I do not...

Can't be this drastic in one year last years winter and summer was terrible it evens out

Human beings have acted as catalyst for climate change, but it always changes. Thats why we've had ice ages even before humans roamed the earth. It is changing and will change again, with or without human beings. Unfortunately, governments love to suggest we can control it as they can tax us more and more. Apologies for cynicism!

Humans are the main cause of global warming. Its obvious.

It's obvious if you look at the signs. Global temperature rise, ice pack shrinkage, more natural disasters, the list goes on and on. The climate is in a cycle but humans have accelerated the warming so much that it can't go back to normal.Bayern Munich wrote:

Given the unprecedented climate calm we've experiance these last 200 years I firmly believe climate change happens regardless and someday will get really bad (there were no ice caps during the Dino's). Considering most of the global warming fanatics were global cooling fanatics during the 70s I think it's pretty easy to see they're just alarmists.

We can't changes natural climate change, but we can clean up our act. What were doing definitely isn't good, and is hurting us the most. Check out dragons triangle, and the sunken civilization 1/2 mile or so underwater. What the hell made that happen??

Actually if you look that up its only natural rock formations that look like humans cut them. Go into the adirondacks and you'll see the same structures. Even if they were real how does it mater? The sea level hasn't risen appreciably in the last 200 years (the absolute longest timeframe for anthropogenic climate change)

It's fairly obvious we have some effect on the climate and the science behind the fact some things we do causes global warning is pretty sound.
However the planet can offset the warming we cause. Ash clouds cause global cooling and extreme cases in history I'm to lazy to quote an example have shown quite drastic temperature falls due to ash clouds. Don't kid yourselves that this however makes it okay to pollute the world we live in. -
Yes, but only because we're part of the Earth 'machine'.
I don't believe the human race will suffer a total extinction though.
As already mentioned the planet has been much warmer than it is today (it has also been much cooler).
Eventually, the planets population will become unsustainably large and we'll see famines on a larger scale.
The population will then fall and the climate will cool again.
Rabbits and foxes.

There will always be some degree of uncertainty in understanding a system as complex as the world's climate. However, I don't think that anyone would disagree that there is now strong evidence that significant global warming is occurring.
It is likely that most of the recent warming can be attributed to human activities? Personally, I doubt it - as others have said, history tells us that the climate is always changing and our impact on that is probably minimal at best.
-
Most recent warming can be put down to reduced ice cap size and therefore less reflection of radiation putting more energy into the system which also likely leads to the increase of hurricanes. The ice caps have always fluctuated in size so the recent reduction is likely barely effected by humans.
Therefore I would disagree that the most recent warming is caused by humans, ice cap melting has also caused an increase in methane being released which is one of the worst gases for contributing to global warming. It is unlikely the climate change will be so dramatic we won't evolve to change with it so its nothing to really worry about. -
Hey anyone seen the haarp system in alaska?? And the 50 dolphin found in ocean with 3rd degree burns?? Im gunna vote man made!

It's natural but the human race just make it worse Im actaully taking water samples around the world right now

What would it hurt if we just cleaned up the land, water, and air? I'm not a climate crazy, but I don't see the harm in making the world better.

Other than a select group of politically connected scientists and activists the consensus isn't their nor is the science settled. As an engineer I find the concept of all these possitive feedbacks that these concensus studies cite considering the earth has maintained a climate that could support life for billions of years through almost every conceivable catastrophic event. To think we could effect an irreversible change with anything less than shooting off every nuclear weapon we have is honestly highly egotistical. You really think you mater that much to the earth?

People look at me like I'm crazy when I support the clean air and water acts and sustainable lumber harvesting but speak out against carbon trading.
