I'm bored, so I'm gonna tell you the story of my afternoon.
For about 3 weeks or so, my iPhone has been stuck in silent mode. So this afternoon, I made a trip to a "Genius Bar" appointment at the Apple store to replace the phone.
After a while of playing on the Macs that I don't know how to operate (I was raised on PCs..."I'm Bella, and I'm a PC."), checking out the apps that were installed on the display iPhones & iPod Touches, and avoiding anyone in a blue shirt trying to sell me anything, I finally sat down to my appointment.
About 20 minutes later, I was the proud owner of a shiny, new, scratch-free, audible iPhone 3G. I thought about flirting with the guy to see if I could get a free upgrade to a 3GS or some free iTunes cards (to buy more turfs, obviously), but I didn't 'cause that's so not me.
I'll give all you addicts 3 guesses (& the first 2 don't count) as to what the first app was that I downloaded. Give up? :) before I even walked back to the car, TW was back on. -
About a week ago, I emailed The Don to make sure I'd still be able to play on the new phone. He said no prob, I'd just have to sign in again.
Turned out I couldn't remember my password. I generally use the same password for things or a variation of the same one, but for some reason this one wasn't one of them! I tried about 20 different variations with no luck. So, I immediately emailed The Don for support. Much like a tweaker waiting all day to hear from his/her dealer, I waited impatiently...& a little twitchy.
When I realized I'd gotten a reply from His Donliness, I bounced off the walls for 15 seconds like a giddy 13 year old girl at the midnight premiere of "New Moon". He sent me the link to where I could reset my password. Problem again...since it's a new phone, the serial numbers didn't match up & it wouldn't authorize my account... Again, I started racking by brain on what the password could be. I hadn't had my TW fix in 5 hours!! -
I felt like I was digging through the carpet, trying to find that hidden crack rock someone mighta dropped.
Fiiiiiiinally, something came to me that I hadn't tried. I entered it & wasn't told "Sorry, could not authenticate the account BellaItaliana", or whatever. So, hoorayyyyyy!! I'm back. Did you miss me during those 5 hours? Did you get lonely? I did. It's okay, Sugarbears; Mama's here, I'm home, it's okay. ;) -

Oooohhh I need to get a life. This is sick :). On the upside, while I was Turf Wars disabled, I worked out for like 2.5 hours. Go me!

That's strange you had to go
through that. I just got a new 3g myself and had no prob with TW.I tried to flirt my way into an upgrade but I think the guy was turned off by my deep voice and large hands.
