To get an untethered jailbreak on iphone4/s. You have to jailbreak though redsn0w and download a certain Cyrus app that untethers it

You can not JB the 4S or ipad2 yet(A5), the release is expected sometime next week. 5.0.1 has an unteathered JB now only for the A4 processor.

For illegally getting songs, some people have to pay a 60k fine for each song. Just don't jailbreak, most free apps work if you know where to find them.

Everyone gets free songs. Here in Canada, we can download music for free without legal troubles
