I have planted a turf and I noticed it was planted on January 5, even though I was looking at it on January 4. All I'm asking is which time zone is the game based on, OR DID MY TURF COME FROM THE FUTURE, OOOOOOOOOOOOMMMMMMMMMMMMMGGGGGGGGGGGG

I think it is the device that decides. What ever time it says is at the top of the screen is what time turf wars is on for you.

Nah, it uses GMT regardless of your present timezone. Otherwise if you were traveling across timezones you'd be able to side-step the 24 hour rule. Other reasons to use GMT are for areas that do not honor daylight savings time (Arizona for example) and for timezones that are not exactly one hour wide (for example, Bangalore, India is GMT+5.5 hours).
