Ok the most amazingly wrong donuts ever.

Has anyone else here, by chance, ever experienced a Voodoo Donut?

I has some wild maple icing covered with a piece of bacon donut.

I'm crazy for maple bars and this one was the only offering so I got it thinking i'd just remove the bacon.

Sounded revolting to me. I must be a maple bar purist.

I took a bite before taking the bacon off and.... I was 😱then 😳and then 😭it was so good.

I saw these donuts and this shop on food network one afternoon it looked pretty good. I remember they also have a small voodoo doll shaped donut which was considered thier signature donut.

If you don't care about having day old donuts, you can get a whole bucket of them for like 5 bucks. You even get to keep the bucket.

I heard there once was a Jackie O donut that had pink frosting with red 'blood' splotches.

Last time I was there (the one on Burnside), there was a bunch Hipsters cheering on a cop who was trying to finish the massive donut they have there. I guess if you finish it in a certain time it is free. Otherwise you dish out 20$. Strange sight to see ptown hipster cheering on the Popo.

Sounds yummy. There's a donut shop atop Pike's Peak at 14,000 feet. Supposed to be the best, I tried them, meh. Your's sound better.

I was able to finish half of one of those over one whole day.

They have this huge donut that if you can finish it in 80 seconds or something like that you get it free.

The line was huge and went all around the block when we arrived in the pouring rain (of course).

We went back early the next morning instead.

Missing it already but it's just as well it's so far away. Def purge-worthy fare. 😉

Oh missed the cop part. Wonder of he was able to finish it.

I always make vendors get me a box of them before they show up at my office. Voodoo has been on multiple times on different shows on the food network. It has a great following around here

Very cool Nog. I don't have time to watch Food Network unfortunately but maybe I can find some vids online.
I'm a huge fan and convert now. Everyone seemed to know about this place except me.😊

No he didn't finish. And all the hipsters were cheering him on and sort of sad he didn't make it. A rare moment of unity for them, for sure.
