Live near the beach or away from it?
Forums › General Discussion › Live near the beach or away from it?-
I'm thinking of buying a house near the beach. If I purchase it near it it will be small 2200 sq feet. If I get it 2 miles or 3 let's say it could be 2800 sq feet. What would you do? Small house or big house? Near the water or driving to to the ocean? Same price.

Im in the same dilemma. 2 or 3 miles farther isn't far at all. I can run the extra 2 miles in 12:30 ish so a short drive of 2 or 3 mins is nothing. But u get an extra 600 sq ft ish. Thats a big diff.

I'd choose by the beach, especially if it's the same price. 2200 isn't that small. I'd love to live across the street from the beach again.

yea kong. 2200 is decent size especially by the beach. Question is though...how close to the beach is it?I'd choose by the beach, especially if it's the same price. 2200 isn't that small. I'd love to live across the street from the beach again.

Neither, I would take a 1k sqft condo downtown over any 3k sqft suburban place. Concrete jungle man!

Depends which beach.
If it's a beach that is regulaly attended by munters then go inland if ith regulaly attended by beautys then near the beach, prefably over looking it

I agree with this, check out the daily life first, if you don't mind traffic infront then go for it(beach). If it by Santa Monica and you don't mind the crazies go for itDepends which beach.

Find a place that's in between the beach house and the bigger house. Some where in the middle.

I say you get one close enough that you can easily go anytime you want, but far enough away that you don't have sand in and on everything. We spent 2 weeks in a condo on the beach in the Caymans. I loved being able to walk to the beach but the sand inside drove me nuts - especially on the tile; it made it very slippery!

Well I had friends 2 mins from the beach and I love it but those house are 2 stories but small. Especially with no big yard. Little patio. I always been into wanting big dogs. Pit bulls, Akitas. I'll look around.I'd choose by the beach, especially if it's the same price. 2200 isn't that small. I'd love to live across the street from the beach again.
