Nah, we had a jailbroken 1G iPod touch that ceased to function (won't turn on) 2 weeks after the jailbreak.

I refuse to jailbreak after that, however I just may to get the multitasking. I have a 2G iPod touch.

I have my jailbroken iPhone 3g and it's fine. It rarely crashes, but oh well. I had used blackra1n then updated the firmware the I used sn0w.

I have the same issue. After I heard that iPhone os 4.0 won't have multitasking for most users (only but iPhone 3gs and iPod touch 3rd gen sadly) Id consider jailbreaking when geohot releases the new untethered jailbreak. I tried blackrain once and it wasn't worth it. My wifi stopped working and I couldn't get anything off cydia cause the jailbreak is tethered and I can't shut my iPod off or it will reset.

except it screws it up pretty bad. It gets all slow and apple won't service it.

I have mine jailbroken. I get all the expensive apps for free. Tomtom streetfighter all the rest. Works great on iPhone 3g
