He's not. A7X is crap generic guns n roses type wanna be metal. Do they have musical talent? Yes. Do they write good music? No. Download Pantera's album "Far beyond driven" it's melodic, yet 10x heavier than A7X. Not to mention they only had one guitar player and he was better than both A7X guitar players combined. 👍

I'd say a7x, but evil empire has a very good point that there are much better bands than either out there.

Hm. Zacky isn't very good. Understandable. Syn is an amazing guitarist. On top of that, i'm a Pantera fan. I still think that they have horrible concerts (When they actually do tour, not so often.) and A7X owns the stage (If you've ever been to a concert, the stage presence they have is amazing.) I think that Nightmare was a huge mistake, that ruined their rep, but CoE and Self titled were amazing albums. WtF and SST were great too. It's all been downhill since Jimmy passed. You obviously aren't a person that goes to concerts, and haven't looked into the band enough to see how good they are.

The reason they have 2 guitarists isn't to "sound better", it's because they have two completely different setups playing at the same time, so it's not possible to play with one lead.

I've been in a band for the last 15 years. I don't need to list my musical credentials so I won't. But don't preach to me because you've watched a few YouTube videos and got Guitar Hero for Christmas. Having 2 guitar players makes it sound better LIVE. But in a studio where you can dub 1000 guitar parts over each other how many guitar players you have doesn't matter. Album to album dime's guitar work is far better than anything A7X has to offer. Also, If YOU ever saw Pantera live you'd know that they were the heaviest 4 piece ever and Dime's sound was heavy enough to not notice the one guitar. Sure there was only bass during the solos. Big deal. Now for my explanation of A7X and GNR

1) After Waking the Fallen, M. Shadows started wearing the bandana and the aviators in the same style Axel did. 2) M. Shadows does that signature Axel Rose vocal whine when he holds out some of his notes. Just because he sings an octave lower doesn't make it new. 3) the whole band has stupid stage names. Just like Slash. 4) the guitar players tease their hair up high with hair spray like GNR did in 1986. 5) they both want to be "metal" but any real metal fan knows its weak, watered down, generic crap.

GNR gets a little more credit for doing it first. At least they knew how to write a catchy single.
