Invite code observation
Forums › General Discussion › Invite code observation-
I'm new (<3 weeks) but it appears to me that too many of the invite code forum threads feature lists with players who have mobs >20k. That may be self explanatory, but it is inexcusable also. If we newbies continue to repost the invites of those who started earlier, we can never catch up. I acknowledge generous acts like Swagger's help to level the playing field, but on a day-to-day basis this does not occur.
I'm not bitching, just commenting.

Just go to Turfwarsdb.com and punch there.

I agree, we noobs are posting our codes to much.

The newbies need to contact the thread maker to be in the thread or add their code to the thread. For example I made the code list to the moon (which I will post on your wall) and the idea is to add your code and put it on other pols wall. You will catch up. It just takes a lot of thumb work. Instead of typing in the forums wasting thumb power you should be at one of the great code websites doing work 👊 codes!

This player started playing TW a little over 6 weeks ago. He asks good questions, reads all the forums and pays attention to things, both large and small. He is not afraid to learn the game from others, while developing his own style of play. His contributions to the forums are few and, yet, well considered. Most important, he punches code! Nice work.👍You will catch up. It just takes a lot of thumb work. Instead of typing in the forums wasting thumb power you should be at one of the great code websites doing work 👊 codes!

Sorry. Had to find an outlet. The kindly responses miss my point. If everyone types in swagger and fork and etc then mine and new, those with 20k will have 40k when I have 20k. See? Again just sayin.

Take a big code add your name on top and tell others to do the same

I'm not trying to be harsh. This game is all about putting time into it. This isn't a play once a week or so game. Everyday you have to be ready to be attacked or capped. At the end of the day you have to choose whether you want to be the guy that gets big and handles their own situation or to be the little guy that depends on the bigger mob to help. They will get tired of always helping you after a while if you don't help yourself. This isnt toward you Nicky, I am just finding somewhere to get my frustrations out haha.

Thanks. Back to the twdb.
Cheers

Nicky, I think what you're saying is we (as noobs) should promote other noobs codes and not the veterans who already have big mobs. But most of the time the veterans post lists on the most walls, so adding a vet to your (as a noob) list may get your code promoted more (in a higher spot on a vet list), rather than having your code on a noobs list (who will rarely post his list).
-
The thing is... Veterans will get your code some way. You post it on a wall and then someone will see it hasn't been tagged at invitecodematrix and (ding) they add it to get their code promoted. Vets are are big because they punch codes and play a long time. That is what you have to do to get there as well. There are vets that are still at 2000 or less because they don't 👊 codes. 2000 in a year or 2 is not a good strategy.
-
Yes. I will try to get on a list.

Is invitecodematrix the best site? I've been using mobcodes.org since I started early this month but it only shows five at a time. Almost 2k though...

The temp codes are easy to punch in and are 100% valid and I always get a 90% return rate (though they expire at a certain time, hence temporary). I just tried invite matrix today and I like it since you can promote your code by just typing in a new mob code that they don't have (easy right?) though just make sure it's valid. 👍 -
sadly... im way too lazy to do crap. so i have an idea... lets do a "pay it forward" kind of idea!! somebody start a list, and send it to three people. they add their names, take down the codes, send to three people. simple :)

I don't want to rain on anyone's parade, I wish you the best of luck with your posting and hoping plans. After 2 years I think it is safe to say that someone has tried just about every possible way to grow the mob, yet ask any player that is over 20 how they got there and I bet they all say from punching. I've seen several vets with big mobs write about punching is the only way. Hardly a week goes by that we don't have a thread arguing matrix vs. TWDB. There wouldn't be that much passion about code sites if these players weren't punching codes. When you post your code you will get the 300-400 players that actively punch codes. After that the returns are very small. If you were actively punching just temps you would be adding 70-100 mob members on an average day. For 10 minutes/day of work. Don't waste anymore time trying to outthink the system. Ask your favorite big mob vet, and I bet they advise punching codes. Every one that I talked to did.

Everyone wants the benefits but doesn't want to work toward it. Must be part of today's younger generation.
Nothing comes for free. If you want a huge mob you either need to pony up some serious cash or work at punching codes. Simple as that.

I am punching. That is not the point. 2000 since I started 12/12/11.
I'm proposing we noobs start an invite code thread composed only of players who have mobs <10k AND are <lvl 50.
Who's in?

I get that. My point (pathetically belabored I know) is that why should I as a noob promote your code? If I do I can never catch up and we will proceed in lockstep with your code always an order of magnitude greater than mine.

Do what ever you want in the invite forums man... I mean don't spam excessively or post bad codes, but other than that it's sorta a free for all. Make a list with everyone you want, in whatever order you want. Post it. Rinse. Repeat. It's not like the veterans complaining is law.₲rээƞℳɑƞ×℘ӈìℓɛ wrote:

**this post is solely based on my opinion and should be considered as such.
Code lists are more problems than assistance devices. The lists are compiled by single players based on the interactions they have with other players. You see bigger players on there because the larger player has either contacted, been contacted by, or helped the smaller player already in some fashion. If you want an unbiased source of codes you need to go to code sites. IMO the invite code forum had its place once but has become too busy and full of posts of the same few codes. Turfwarsdb.com and invitecodematrix.com are invaluable resources to someone that seriously wants to grow.
-
Never punched a code list in my career.
I have used three website.
Turfwars.info (which I stopped using when I broke it)
Turfwarsdb.com which is a very good site
Invitecodematrix which tends to get new codes quicker. This is primarily because existing players are encouraged to bump their code by adding new ones.
Invitecodematrix also auto hides codes with 2 bad flags resulting in these codes being hidden from the user.
Turfwarsdb relies on mods to hide bad codes and after the recent episode where hundreds of bad codes were listed on both sites, this method proved less effective than an auto hide.
Ultimately choose a site you like and stick with it. Punching a second site is not really worth the effort.
